Interestingly we have had 8 different goal scorers this season. Im sure someone will correct me here but I cant remember 8 different players on the score sheet in both Season 1 and 2 combined...

For the amount of assist work he does, Hernandez is very high at 7. I think he tops assists near Ifill also.

According to the A-League website (As accurate as wiki) Hernandez, Ifill and Bertos all have 7. I imagine Ifill and Hernandez will be the leading contenders for the Player of the Season award.

Hoping Smeltz grabs a few more before he buggers off to China (assuming that happens) so as to still win the golden boot having only played 2/3 of games.

What's the highest number of goals scored in a season including the play-offs?  Wouldn't it be great if Smeltz could beat that in one (admittedly longer) season?  Thompson got 12, didn't he, before scoring 5 in the final against Adelaide.  Did he score in the game prior to the final?  Assuming those numbers are right Smeltz only needs another few.

I think I heard the commentators say he was second with 15. Imagine it is Thompson ahead of him.

One can only ponder how different things may have been for the Nix so far if we kept Smeltz, how many of those drawn matches could he have won for us? And imagine him up front alongside Ifill? Although we probably wouldnt have got Ifill if Smeltz stayed (or Greenacre, one of the two...)

I think we would have all three provided it fitted under the cap (or we used the marquee spot), Chen would have missed out though.
You know we belong together...

Neither Ifill or Greenacre were the marquee player, and so Smeltz could have been designated the marquee spot if we had to spend more. Plus, I am pretty sure a player can be 'marquee' without being on marquee wages (if you get my drift).

Anyway, Ifill up to 8 after tonight, and into 4th equal.

Dadi hasn't scored for Perth this season because he had played in six games and started in 3 of them as well as their coach sucks compared to ours.
