Format:

8 Players per league
4 seasons (s3 will have a double game week)
Promotion/Relegation after each season (2 up, 2 down)
Knockout Cup (via double game weeks during s3 & s4)

Previous players will retain their league statuses if they post here before Sunday 4th 23:59.
New players are welcome to join.

Scoring:

Home win - 2 points
Draw - 3 points
Away win - 3 points
Correct win margin (by 1 or 2+) - 1 bonus point

All you have to do is pick a team & margin (by 1 or by 2+) or a draw. 

I match your picks up against someone else in your league, whomever scores more points picks up the win. These results are then used to create league table. Finish top 2 in your league and get get promoted, bottom 2 get relegated.

No sure if this has been asked but I am intrigued in the rational of your scoring system. Away wins mean nothing to us but could skew the competition. As an example, if I pick 3 home wins and they come in and get the other 2 wrong, and you pick 2 away wins and get the other 3 wrong, you get as many points as I do yet I had more correct picks. Surely you are looking to reward the person that is more accurate in their choices?

I would have thought you give 2 for calling the draw or calling the right team and margin, 1 for getting the right team but wrong margin and 0 for all wrong. Also you have to get the team right to get the bonus so that if you get the wrong team but right margin, you still get 0.

Just intrigued on your take on that.

Over the history of the A-League, home teams have won 45% of games, 25% of games have been draws, and 30% away teams have won. The point scheme is an attempt to balance those percentages and create a level playing field for each choice.
