Playing in the second round of the finals and scoring. Weel. Looking to play Sweden, perhaps?
Monty's system really accentuates the positives and hides the negatives in McGarry's game. He still has the odd moment in defence but you really get to see how good he is on the ball.
What about Roux? Two players that we wouldn’t have thought would have started at the Nix get a result at Hindmarsh. In a semifinal.
For a guy who seemed on the verge of having to drop down to the State Leagues, the last couple seasons have been a massive career resurgence. How DIngham got selected for the AWs ahead of him, I really don't know.
Fudge I'm glad Burgess followed Rudan to WU (and then refused to play for them as he wanted to play for Sydney). He seems a prick and this season has been a dirty player.
Roux and mcgarry both could do themselves some favours for the upcoming friendlies. We know calan Elliot shark the bed v adelaide, that right back spot very up for grabs.
Yeah, Roux very hard done by to be behind Ingham in the All Whites pecking order, yet alone Elliott. Still only 30. Ingham apparently was Jets player of the year this year but he has never impressed me.
And McGarry has got to be second choice at LB at this point. That Darren picked Wynne ahead of McGarry for the last window is unbelievable.
Adelaide need to sub on Irankunda at half time, I doubt Monty burns a sub window to bring on Farrell a minute into the second half. That might give them a 5-10 min window of McGarry vs Irankunda.

He's waited too long already. Quite surprising really.
Faghani really doesn’t like Nkolo either. Heh. Gives him about half of the fouls I’ve seen Nkolo draw in other games.
And I don’t wanna put the mockers on him, but Kaltak doesn’t half remind me of Steven Taylor. He headed a clearance/counter starting pass almost into the other half.

We had plenty of chances to sign him but not many on here rated him very highly. Admittedly CCM used an injury replacement deal to see if he was up to it before committing to him. Wonder where they would be if they didn't release Kelechi John for Kaltak.
Feeling a little tentative considering Paulsen next season after thinking about this CC team built on Vuckovic and the WU team that had a rampant Jamie Young at the back.
Marto might be right. Wootton’s not a force of nature and neither are any of his potential partners. No Taylor, Kaltak, Dan Burn, Dunk or any of those imposing and resolute defenders. When he’s good, he’s tidy and quiet.
Though we will have a dedicated DM screening the back four next season so that may help.
Yep, good times for them and they deserve it. I suppose there must be a good reason but why in gods name is the final two weeks away? Bring the damned thing on while everyone's got a buzz on.
So happy for the Coasties, after so many painful seasons they deserve this.
Fantastic team! And a cautionary note for the Phoenix given how many of us would have wanted Roux, McGarry and Kaltak starting for us…though we did a similar thing for Sotirio I guess.

Let's be realistic though, he has been a bit of a mixed bag. Quite a list of errors scattered through the season, including clumsy penalties and red cards. Been a good learning curve for and I feel like he will probably be a lot more solid next time round.

We were meant to be having the A-League All Stars vs Bayern Munich next weekend, as a kick off to 'The Festival of Football' for the Grand Final in Sydney.
