Galekovic nearly cost them the game there, that freekick couldn't have been much closer to going in and Galekovic just watched it.

Great work Adelaide, will be cool supporting them in the quaterfinals.

‎Adelaide United FC will play Bunyodkor Tashkent in the quarter final of the AFC Asian Champions League. The way the draw has worked out, if Adelaide make the final, they will be the ones hosting it.

That is David Carney's team, is it home and away?

I think so, only 80% sure though

How on earth is the host of the final decided by luck of the draw? That seems odd, am I missing something?

Because of the distances involved, they don't have a final venue set in stone like in Europe. I guess they just pick a side of the draw to host the final, to make things easier to plan.

Interesting, thanks. I suppose another big risk of pre-selecting a final venue is that it would most likely be a major flop if the host teams didn't make it that far. Imagine two middle eastern teams playing a final in east asia in front of a crowd of a few thousand, and trying to keep a straight face when labelling that the pinnacle of Asian club football.

A few injuries wouldn't be unwelcome, or Buriram to at least run them all over the park. Looks hot there.

Hoping it goes to extra time. Surprised to see Franjic come back on the park.

Roar are in trouble here I think. They look horrible, and the Thais are playing well.

HT 0-0 at the Thunder Castle.

Don't think I can stay up for the 2nd half. Wont be at all surprised to hear the Roar have lost this in the morning.

0-0. Game gone into extra time. Good for us!

0-0 halftime of extra time. Brisbane riding their luck, theo with a couple of saves, and some poor finishing from the Thais

To penalties it goes.

Brisbane miss their 3 penalties and are out of the ACL. Lots of angst from Brisbane fans.

Couldn't score in a Thai brothel?

CCM 0 Suwon Bluewings 0

Montgomery missed a penalty 5 minutes from the end after a bizarre hand ball.

Sounds like Suwon parked the bus, as per normal. Always seems the ACL teams are just happy to try for the point in Aussie. Guess it is the smart play.

Missed all but the last 25 minutes unfortunately but even in that time Suwon counterattacked well and went close a few times, so I think they left the bus out in the carpark this time.

A very weak pen from Montgomery; also Bojic botched a golden opportunity for a winner in the last seconds: received the ball 5 yards out unmarked but instead of belting it goalwards tried some sort of ridiculous flicked backheel pass to a man who wasn't even behind him.
