Now we only need Arny to Sydney and that all the rumours proved correct.

I wonder if Kewell will go the way of Moore, Miller and the other older players Ange got rid of.

Be funny if he ended up in some other role than tards coach. Unlikely but there is other demand and a lot of money being offered.

Hope the Victory fans will have patience with him. I doubt he can get them playing the same style as the Roar in just one off season.

They need a big improvements in their defence and have some old legs up front who still have a year to go on their contracts. He has 3 visa spots, no marquee spots and only really the cap freed up by Carlos leaving to use. Not sure they have much youth coming thru either, their youth team finished last in the youth league.

Yeah, the Victory part of it isn't confirmed yet.

He could be off to Sydney ..which would be cool. But in some ways him going to the Victory will benefit Marco Rojas.

There's no doubt he's going to victory - been a done deal for a couple of weeks.  And good on him too.  Look out the rest of the comp if he gets it right down there

Normo's coming home

could be a clear out of the tards playing staff though...some of them may be a tad too old for Ang's playing style

Unless people are willing to walk away for free, they still have a year to go on Allsopp's contract, and 2 years on Kewell and Thompson. They are short on cap space to pay people out, so will be stuck with pretty much the same team they have now.

I can not imagine Him agreeing to go to the Tards unless he was guaranteed the budget to have a clear out and also to be given free reign to bring in who he wants....subject of course to Salary Cap.

Tards have never stinted on budget. Paying Ange reportedly 600k a season means they are not going to suddenly start. My worst nightmare is the spending power of Melbourne combined with probably the best manager the a-league has seen to date. I think there is enough room under the cap for them to be competitive from the start.

Be interesting to see how Ange goes at Melbourne and who he gets rid of. Also be interesting to see how Brissy fare without him.

Raises the bar. Ricki take note. Close enough is no longer good enough. Get ambitious.

Hmmmm not entirely sure I believe that.
