Willem Ebbinge, Henry Hamilton, Alex Clayton and Ronan Wynne probably the stand out US college guys.

There’s also Adama Coulibaly and Riley Peach if we’re considering teenagers.

Did wonder about Willem Ebbinge.  Dark horse (out of sight, out of mind) for France. But Bazeley had him as his U22 captain for the OFC Olympics qualifying tourney in Auckland last year.

And as we know Baze has been talking to Stevie C alot. However it's almost appeared with Ebbinge football is secondary to his studies. He's been at Harvard, so of above average intelligence, and that place tends to open doors for it's graduates.

His was part of Des's 2019 U20 squad as an 18 yr old. Has never had the hype of a Joe Bell, but some parallels. Ebbinge from Queenstown. Bell from Wanaka. Both in the Nix Academy for awhile then the US College scene. I think he would have been age eligible for the 2021 U20 WC?? I guess like a few others with that WC Covid cancelled, he's been off the radar. Again could be a dark horse pick for the Olympics (4 travelling reserves anyway)

Ahh that was along my lines of thought. Guys who’d had a taste and had a pro contract somewhere without quite having a break out season yet, but there was no way they’d get (back) in a Phoenix shirt with current restrictions and practicalities.

And yeh- Ebbinge? Never seen him play so definitely under my radar, though I’m no YHM!

If we are talking ex Nix Academy there are a heap of guys floating about the NZ National leagues (esp Northern League), and NPL in Aussie. George Ott on a hot little trot in the Victorian NPL. 4 goals in his last 5 games. 7 goals last season.

Isn't there some young hot shot at Auckland on the wing turning heads (and defenders).

Got a couple of goals in the qualifiers for the Fifa Club comp?? No idea on the name.

You’re probably thinking of Liam Gillion who Youngheart has ruled out.

Did I? 🤔

Ruled out in relation to the particular signing that I was made aware of yesterday perhaps. 😂

Be a massive coup to sign him imo.

I'd be disappointed if he came back to the A-League. He struggled in the Championship in his first season, but another season there or even a loan to a League 1 side could serve him well.

No way Waine comes back to ALM. Madness talk

He’s English heritage, playing in the UK was his dream. He knows he needs to keep plugging away there. Chris Wood will be telling him just that

If they can do what they’re claiming and fit in the spectator code of conduct I just googled up (which surprisingly covers most of the worry) fair play. Popcorn time. Is Lazio fundraising for Trump?

Though I'm sure dodgy Donald would really appreciate the extra $NZD5 ($USD3.10) per person, this is a spoof. Maybe penned by Tracey Ullman, or somone similarly quite un Christian. I've yet to meet a funny Christian

Really? I know quite a few! They’ve got a lot of material to work with… they’re older and after a while you realise they’ve been gently winding you up for the last 25 minutes..though that could be old folk in general.

Not a fan of Pete Holmes or Milton Jones? I’m sure there’s a lot of good comics who are Christian, much like our discussion here, don’t talk a lot about it too.

Yeh I was worried that the transfer fees would eat up a lot of that. Probably need someone who was going to the States anyway to take it.

It's a joke, they took the manifesto of the other group and just reversed it.

If Tamaki were concerned that no one would join them, the creation of MAGA would have dramatically driven up membership.

Thought Fukuyama was the 1980s and a massive whoopsies moment?

Good to see you’re stretching yourself beyond dodgy US twitter.

Also if it’s really about liberty and not US imperialism with a mask on perhaps a bit of ol J S Mill, feminism and the harm principle? You know, liberalism…mind your own bloody business if it isn’t hurting you…

And I think the reverse of the Tamaki manifesto would be pro-colonialism across the Pacific, compulsory Hawaiian property, anti- players rights, and I guess being anti-woke may be a way of saying pro-xenophobia, homophobia and racism for starters…
If those are your principles don’t hide behind a ‘Pro-Trump’ euphemism, say what it is…

Toomey, Elliot, Brimmer & Hall seem likely the next annoucements - though then Mata was a surprise.

Word through the grapevine is another quality young Kiwi lad has been signed up in the past couple of days. I don't think I've seen his name mentioned on here previously.

Good opportunity for these lads who may have otherwise had a limited shot at getting a pro deal in this country.

Have we figured out this yet?

I’ll sit with any group that promises to ensure mushy peas are available with pies. Not an NZ tradition, but a good one imo!

And I found this yesterday. Could be that the Port is already more popular internationally than YF!

There’s a few places which operate to give experience and work to people with special needs. I’m not sure if this one, but the meaning of the expression under the sign is a little confusing to me. That lettering is fairly cool though.
