Pity he didn't slot that early chance away in the clinical way Djite just did.

Temperature has plunged to a mere 31 degrees.

Amazing how week after week Adelaide keep pulling out these good results. They are often unbelievably lucky, yet they also have some key players that can win games for them despite very average team performances.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of people there for a top of the table clash.

So if there was 18,000 at Melbourne last night there would need to be a combined crowd of 30,000 over the 2 games tonight for us to have any chance of getting the 10 millionth fan tomorrow. More likely it will happen in Sydney?

Ugh, butchered horribly by Ibini. He's a shadow of the player he was last season.

Good counter by Adelaide but Ferreira picks out the wrong man.

Then CCM counter but Ibini fucks it up.

Nasty moment for "the new Bosnich". For his sake I hope that label doesn't mean he's going to end up a racist cokehead one day.

Average game, brightened by a couple of good goals.

McBreen spoiling an attack there. with the shoulder charge gone from league it looks like its being implemented in the A-league.

Nice strike, thank fudge someone can finish in the mariners :) 2-1

Final score 2-1.

Probably a fair result.

Permalink Permalink

Just going from the second half I'd agree with fair result, can't remember too many clear chances for the Reds and the Mariners were all over them at the end, missed plenty of good opportunities too

Be interesting to see how Brisbane go tonight after they allegedly had some friction in camp this week.

Top of the pops but only 6885-ish (if I saw it right) in attendance.

Jeez, these two teams are hard on the eyes. All that orange and purple.

Heskey should really have done better there.

No Mitch Nichols. On the naughty step?

Permalink Permalink

uh oh if Heskey can't put them away off his head the Jets are gonna need a new plan

Nichols has always been a petulant little sulk. Wont miss him if his much hyped transfer ever actually eventuates.

Find it hard to believe that Goodwin can't get a start in the Jets lineup. He's an exceptional player - changed the game in the Jets favour when he came on last week.

Roars best chance so far. They seem to be passing backwards a lot and when they push forward its a solo run and more often than not get dispossessed.
