Horrible, nasty little man.  Anyone remember when he got sent off at the RoF in the World Cup qualifier against Australia a few years ago and milked it as he walked off the pitch?  Seems fitting that he ends his career in dispute with his club.

what a twat! I am surprised that, given his situation, he didn't make a move during the january transfer window.
Surely someone like NQF or Adelaide would have signed him till the end of the season? Or is he so sh*te that nobody wants him??

I've never liked him and I never will. I just wish I knew more about this Ange guy. Is it possible that basically all the senior (and better) players disliked him so much that they've all left?

Are his people skills so bad or did the old fellas just want to cruse into next season and couldn't be bothered adapting?

I love ange. He wants to run the team, the 'senior leadership' as Tiatto put it would have had a problem with that,as theyd be used to calling the shots. So he simply got rid of them. The young guys will respect him all the more for that, and he can bring in guys with the right attitude as well as ability next season.

cool. it all sounds good and refreshing, for sure.
My only point is: is it worth it to loose the core of the team because you want to clearly be seen as the alpha male?
Isn't there a way to compromise, at least to a certain extent? Reddy, Miller, Moore and basically Tiatto...it's going to be hard to replace them all. I hope [for him] that he's given a bit of time, like the whole of next season, to put things right. Because it takes a long time to rebuild a team.

Also, why didn't Tiatto leave?

I think this quote answers your question nicely

I havent been pushing myself to the fore at training as much as normal because I can see that there is little interest in me playing from Ange in the first place.

I think in that situation, the player is the one who isnt ready to compromise (other things tend to suggest this too),so it is most definetly the right thing to do. The last thing you want is a team with the senior players being the one calling the shots, too many managers dont have the balls to do what Ange has done, and they end up not even running their own side.

The trick of course is in the off-season,he has to replace these players. That'll be the true test of his plan. But i think itll most definetly pay off in the long run.

You have to admire the balls of Ange and part of me hope he gets some success as a result.  Much as I dislike the Roar

Don't you just hate these guys who whine that they aren't getting the respect due to them as "senior boys"? Roar had a whole lot of problems before AP turned up and although there is nearly always two sides to the story it's pretty clear he was dealing with some big egos who weren't willing to fall in behind him and the club. In that case the dead wood has to go.

Not that I like Postecoglou though. He was always very lukewarm about the Nix (on Foxsport FC) and, worse, wanted Bahrain to beat the AWs.

Two things - why shouldn't the "senior boys" have to earn the new coach's respect, rather than the other way round? - and Ange had a fairly sh*thouse reputation and record with some very good Aussie youth teams. Indeed his perceived sh*tness was one of the main drivers behind the clear out of Aussie coaches and the wholesale importation of Dutchies.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Never had a problem with Tiatto.  Admittedly I never saw the alleged barbarism on Killen (which would've likely changed my mind).

Numerous times in the past I've seen him play reasonably well and when he wasn't playing great he wasn't the worst.  Maybe he's a dickhead but I haven't seen it.

Scored a few crackers as well.

Back in 2001? Come on mate, let it be! :)

If anything, I'm happy that Tiatto blasted Ange, as Ange is a twit.

I hear that Danny's family is already back in Melbourne, I thought another club (I was thinking Gold Coast) would sign him until end of this season.

He's a rough nut at times, yes, but he doesn't deserve to go out this way due to Ange and the Roar board's pathetic-ness.

According to the Brisbane fans who were over here for our game against them (and came to the pub with us afterwards), getting rid of Moore, Tiatto etc is the best thing that's happened to their Club.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Debate seems mixed.
