GET YOUR SHIRTS OFF FOR THE BOYS
If Tassie get a team FKN sure thats the last place i will be going for an away.FK imagine shirts off there would make ROF look like it was in the tropics.

Good call on second view, the whole ball did not cross the line
All the replays they have shown prove that the ball was miles over the line.
I think I have to agree with you. Tough in a split-second to decide that though.

God Gillett is dreadful. If he and the former state league ref who had TeeDubs at the weekend are the future of Aus refs it's not pretty.

I'm not sure it's as clear-cut, I think the angle the camera is at makes it look less debatable than it is.

And again, sh*t call. He got all of the ball, there is no bloody way that is a yellow.

question: if kewell was 18, in his first season, and playing exactly like he has this season, would he have been dropped by now? f*ck he's pants

Archie fell over easily from a thwarted tackle few moments previously and also got a fk, he'll go down as soon as he's dispossessed

This ref works for the Tards.
And was there a goal in-line shot or not for that non-goal?
Tards are sh*t. Ref is sh*t.

WTF how was that not advantage enough? Glad a clear scoring opportunity FFS.

Good refereeing? How? They got a clear advantage and Solorzano f**ked it up.

Play advantage, they get their shot on goal, miss then it's brought back for a fk, wtf? And the commentators say that's a good call!

...and now they fap. He's done nothing gor 60 minutes, takes an easy set-piece against a Rookie keeper and he'll be named man of the match.
Dreadful call on the kick decision as well.

Piss off. It's not rugby, ref.
This, it was just like having a crack a a drop kick when you know advantage is being played and you'll get a penalty kick anyway, nonsense!

Eh, how, victory got their opportunity to score a goal, and missed, it wasn't denied, ergo nae red

You'd have been apopleptic watching Ivan Vicelich on Sunday then.
Can't disagree with the card comment and it was cynical, but how being one on one with the keeper having regained your balance and missing earns you a re-take mystifies me. As someone said, it's not rugby.

From a highly ranked NZ ref:
the advantage is the shot on goal. Its not the referees fault that the
players fumble it because of poor skill and thats what referees are coached
on. i.e. if you get an advantage that leads to a shot on goal, if you
don't put it in, thats not the refs fault because of your skill and we don't
go back.

Just bc refs plays advan shouldn't make any diff to the punishment for cheating as last defender.

What I was just about to say, LoTG doesn't say there is a red for intending to DOGSO, only fouling where the result IS DOGSO
Yellow card for unsporting behaviour would be the appropriate sanction

rojas has looked rather decent tonight
must be doing alright in training to get a start from magilton
fark kewell is such a waste of space, freekick aside
no pace, no trickery, seen so many crap balls tonight, and that's not even mentioning the one (!) right footed pass he attempted and shanked horribly. Gimme lochy's left any day lol

To be clear I am convinced it should have been a red for cynical foul by last defender.
Somewhat more open minded re whether should go back for free kick after advan, but have little sympathy for cheating. If cheat then you risk giving opposition two chances. But appreciate it does raise question when advan ever over, although diff threshold mifgt apply re goalscoring opportunity
