Taking the A-League to Tasmania tonight.

Big talking points: Solorzano and Rojas are both starting for the Tards, Carlos Hernandez relegated to the bench, and Tando Velaphi is back from injury, and onto the bench.

Best case scenario: Covic gets injured or sent off in the first 10 minutes of the game, and then GCU put 10 goals past Velfaffy. And Rojas to score a hattrick.patrick4782012-02-02 01:00:44

Draw or Gold Coast United victory would do nicely for us. Can't see it happening, though the Tards have been poor up until now.

Hopefully we see a decent crowd down in Tasmania.

Both teams wearing away strips - befitting of taking a game to a neutral location?

That's a Westpac Stadium rule, not an FFA one. Rule must be different in Tassy

Rees should have done better, especially since he is in my fantasy team.

That's harsh opn Marco.  He's got the keeper and a defender sliding in front of him.  If he's tried to chip and f**ked it up he'd have been slagged.  Archie is the striker he should have shot, not Marco.

Rigters should have scored after doing so well to wriggle free of two in the corner.

Classic Matt Gillet there. Overrides the linesman incorrectly then lets them take the throw 10 metres ahead which develops into a chance.

They have special megaphones in Tasmania which accommodate extra fingers on the handle!

They also translate the language from Toothless Yokel to English!

Perhaps you are not aware that AFL is the no1 sport in Tasmania by a mile?

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Perhaps you are not aware that there has been various people on the verge on putting together a serious bid for an a-league licence in Tasmania for a few years now

That was not my point.
AFL is the most popular football. Even rugby and NRL don't rate.

The point I was making was that the folk that want to start a Tassie team aren't going to be too enthused by tonight's crowd, which could be low with the reasons you make in your point as a contributary factor

All the replays they have shown prove that the ball was miles over the line.
