Flores going to China, and Adelaide only getting 500k for him. Would have thought they could hold out for a bit bigger transfer fee, but Flores must have put the pressure on for more than double the salary (or maybe a buyout clause?).

Off to try and help Henan avoid relegation then?

Good luck to him (one less playmaker for us to deal with!).

He might do a Smeltz and we can get in as a guest for however many games it is.

Its no longer a problem.

There is some seriously big money being splashed around by the CSL clubs.  Henan aren't the flashest clubs, but by and large many of the clubs can attract good players (like Judas of course).

Have a look at the club squads and you'll see a number of A-league or ex A-League plus half of South America.

I have always been under the impression that it struggles with corruption and match fixing.

I have watched a few matches from it which pop up on bet365, I thought was about on par with the a-league, I did enjoy it somewhat, just found it was frustrating seeing some players cry their eyes out when they went to the ground.Azevo2011-06-28 23:08:46

New people in charge of the CFA and a big clean out has occurred.

Hasn't been too much noise about "black whistles" - corrupt refs this season although the decisions have been hard to fathom sometimes.

Match fixing seems to be a thing of the past (touch Chris Wood) - Guangzhou got relegated and fined two seasons ago because of this, earned promotion last season and are now top of the table having bought itself a team of good players.

I've yet to watch a full game but looking at various highlights this season I think that the good teams in the CSL would be a bit better than A-League.

I get the impression that the CSL is slowly turning itself around to being a respectable competion.  Time will tell if that has any influence on the woeful natioanl team record.
