Latest edition of Football + is bloody fantastic, rates the top 20 players from the La Liga, Serie A, EPL and A-League. Interesting no Phoenix player, or New Zealander was in the A-league top 20. Thought Kosta would've been there.

1.Matthew Leckie - Adelaide
2.Ben Kantarovski - Newcastle
3.Oliver Bozanic - CCM
4.Tahj Minniecon - GCU
5.Daniel Mullen - Adelaide
6.Luke DeVere - Brisbane
7.Mark Birghitti - Adelaide
8.Rocky Viisconte - Brisbane
9.Marko Jesic - Newcastle
10.Kofi Danning - Sydney
11.Sean Rooney - Newcastle
12.Seb Ryall - Sydney
13.Scott Neville - Perth
14.Isaka Cernak - NQF
15.Mitch Nicholls - Brisbane
16.Adama Traore - GCU
17.Rhyan Grant - Sydney
18.James Brown - GCU
19.Andrew Redmayne - Brisbane
20.Kamal Ibrahim - Melbourne Heart

I guess you can't really argue with there being no Phoenix players...Costa you could probably make a case for.

Would think Cernak and Traore should be higher on current form.

What do you want a link to?

It's from a magazine.

People read magazines these days?

You're faaarken scratching for a list if you include Mitch Nicholls on any list that has the word 'top' in it. I'd definitely chuck Traore up the list, drop Tahj down a bit.

Tahj and Nichols are just bad.  Never seen Bozanic do anything good, though I've not seen him play many games.

Chris Payne should really be on that list.

It would be a massive shock to see Leckie still in the A-League next year. Just a question of where he goes I feel, if he was able to get a euro passport, a decent English championship side might not be out of the question. If not, the Dutch leagues with Oar & co.

We need to create a pathway for New Zealands to go from a-league to norwegian, belgium, croatian, czech, dutch leagues. Leckie to the Netherlands would be a good move for both parties, assuming Adelaide pick up some coin.

off contract at the end of the season, so unless he moves in Jan, he is a very attractive prospect on a freebie

football +

all leading book stores or supermarkets id say, otherwise ask manbeast, he bought me it.

Ryan Nelsen, David Villa and Davide Santon on the cover

articles on Ifill.
Interview with Barron.
A fictional piece guessing where the starting XI that played Slovakia will be in 2014.
So plenty of stuff for NZers or nix fans.
But the coolest part is the top twenty players from La Liga, EPL, Serie A and A-League.

Well of course, but it's interesting. I like reading stuff like that, bit of a nerd on rising players.

Is it an NZ football magazine? If so, who produces it?

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
