Also, Sky are showing 90 minutes of highlights show things, instead of delaying the A-League by just 30 minutes. Makes no sense at all to me whatsoever.

RR made a great point in the sky thread, it's far cheaper to pay for extra bandwidth than it is to pay for Sky Sport for a month.

They've defended well though. Sort of reminds me of a lot of our games from last season - hardly any possession, under the pump, last ditch tackles, nab a breakaway goal, come away with the three points.

Is it just me or has the standard of A League football - one or two games accepted - been fairly awful this season? Various Fox pundits keep claiming the standard is going up and up but I'm not convinced at all. Three goals tonight, all the result of awful blunders, very little real talent on show. Does kind of put our game last week in perspective, ie, two teams playing shit football, the one that makes the least mistakes wins.

The standard is going up, but that includes the standard of defence as well as attack. You can expect the attackers to be improving far more than the defenders, so we are never going to have 5 wondergoals per game.

There just isn't the quality players to unlock defenses with pure skill, so most goals are due to some kinda mistakes. CCM is a good example of a team doing very well because they are well drilled and make few mistakes.
