Seems like ages since we watched any A-League!

Adelaide (8th) v Gold Coast (3rd) @ Hindmarsh - 10pm kickoff NZT

Adelaide have only won one of their last six matches. GCU have only won one of their last five away from home.

Jess van Stratten back for GCU but only on the bench; Scott Higgins continues in goal. Steve Pantelidis is suspended.

Matthew Leckie back for Adelaide and will start.  Scott Jamieson is on the bench after starting all 14 games so far this season.

The only previous meeting between the two was in R3 - a 2-0 win to GCU.

New Zealand TAB odds:
Adelaide $2.50
GCU $2.60
Draw $3.20

Agreed, with such a hectic last week or so. It does seem like ages ago.

I think this one will be a dull game. Just a prediction. I hope Smeltzy scores though.

Draws are often good as obvioiusly there's less points scored.  On the flipside, though, you want entertaining games and decent victories to keep the crowds in.

Have you ever heard more begrudging praise than Slater gives about the AWs getting to the World Cup?

It's music to my ears hearing how much we have pissed him off.

gc under the cosh here

how were they so good at the start of the season? Could they conceivably slip out of playoff contention from their current position?

doubt it... thou with Rees and Twaite at the back i would hardly call that quality...

Is twaite the most over rated player in this league??

I think with 6 spots in the playoffs itll be hard for them to cock it up that much . Be funny though.Paulinho2009-11-20 22:35:00

What'd he do?

I think he pulled the player back and then trod on the ball. Not quite as clear cut as Slater's "he definitely got the ball" chat.

Straight red. Lolz. Thats not the best call.
It was a yellow at the most. Wasn't from behind either by the looks of it. pretty much side by side.

I think that rees pulling him back didn't helpStefan2009-11-20 22:42:10

Rees pulled Leckie back, hand on shoulder and he's the last defender which means it warrants a red card. End of story. His challenge to win the ball was legit but he pulled Leckie back so that is irrelevant.

Slater is a numpty
