Cold Ghost have very little chance of making the Top 6 and Miron the Moron is blooding young talent to prepare them for next season.
Nothing crazy in that.

agree with blooding players.. But if their still fielding senior players, it should be those players who step up with the captaincy and show the younger players what is expected as a professional

If your good enough you're old enough and Miron obviously thinks he's good enough.

Cooper, who was born in Vanuatu and spent his early youth in New Zealand before moving to Queensland, will be joined by another debutant, Jake Barker-Daish, as Gold Coast are expected to field a side with just two players over the age of 23
Also, given that Miron obviously doesn't support the captaincy of Mitch, how can he stay on as manager when he is powerless to even make team decisions such as captaincy. And what manager would want to come on board when the owner is going to interfere and micromanage to such a degree.
Clive! You don't know what you're doing.

Who is the worst coach in the A-League? Clive Palmer!!! He hasn't let Miron run the team - put your money in and let the pros do their jobs!

Owners should be just that, owners. They should be part of a long term vision for a club, but let the manager make the football decisions

Exactly. It's not fair on this kid, just so Palmer can make some sort of meaningless statement.
Oh wait...

This makes Abramovich interfering look decidedly hands-off in comparison.

A lot of speculation (not that I buy it as i'm not a conspiracy theorist) is that he wants out, but is trying to force the FFA to seize the licence after which he can try and sue them. Palmer does love a good litigation.

"I think we have to put it into perspective, given the injuries and suspensions we have at the moment.
"We feel it was only natural that we bring in one of our younger guys (as captain)." '
'Mensink said the likes of Rees had supported Palmer's controversial decision to appoint Cooper.
"The senior players like Kristian supported the decision and why it was made," Mensink told AAP.'

Buckley condemns Palmer comments
Football Federation Australia CEO Ben Buckley has officially responded to Gold Coast United owner, Clive Palmers comments about the state of the Hyundai A-League.
"Football fans across Australia will today rightfully condemn the lack of respect inherent in comments made by Clive Palmer," said FFA CEO, Ben Buckley.
"The comments are offensive to the players, coaches, administrators and volunteers who are the life and soul of Australian football.
"We welcomed Clive into the game and lauded his investment, but no matter how frustrated Clive may feel about his involvement, these comments are out of order.
"I remind Clive that as a chairman and owner of a club, he has obligations to the competition, his fellow club chairman and investors in the other nine clubs, and to the game itself."
Palmer had earlier expressed his dislike for the world game in an interview with The Sunday Mail, making the following claims.
"I don't even like the game, I think it's a hopeless game.
Palmer who holds an A-League licence for a further two years also claimed he could head to court if he was to be stripped of his licence.
"If we wanted to stay (in the A-League) and they (FFA) wanted to take it (the licence) off us, they'd all be in court, and Ben Buckley would run a thousand miles," Palmer said.
