That stint overseas has clearly done nothing for Djite's game. Hopeless dud.

"Difficult viewing at times". That commentator's best contribution tonight.

Absolutely, near on 600 minutes of "difficult viewing at times" was totally worth it

So no crowd figure. What a joke.

Three for me, and two for them.

best part of the eveing was when mel interviewed the GCU scorer, his comment "there's not many of them, but they beach is great" - game was a bore fest until that shot. Left footed cracker from a right back.....

Goal was great game was a total sham!

I was at the exact same wed nite game back in jan, and it was almost the same.

As cool as itd be to be a pro footie player id be well embarrassed if i was a GCU player! I was convinced that it was going be a new record for the lowest ever crowd for an A-league game last night, would almost have put money on it!

even if there was 2000 at that game, that's embarrassing....

One of the problems with the poor crowd is that is no parking within a few ks of the ground. The only way to get to the game is by train, but if you live more than 1 stop south of the ground, there is no railway, and there is a huge population down there.
There is a huge shopping centre around the corner but you are not allowed to park if going to the stadium.
Obviously not the whole reason, but a contributing one.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

There are buses from various places (we caught one from the shopping centre at Surfers Paradise last year), but still a pain in the bum and a bit of a mission. A real downer on a "day at the stadium experience".

However, they still manage to fill it up for Rugby League!

I know, I know, its serious!

If there was 2091 there, around 2000 of them must have been in the bar getting pissed. Might be 2091 including season ticket holders / complimentaries  but certainly not acual attendance. Transport problems are a pretty weak excuse really, League manage to get decent crowds. Was a great goal though!

sounds a lot like Auckland fans bemoaning the lack of access to a Eden park....there's got to ba a chant in that somewhere.
