Aloisi & Skoko's last game. And possibly Sibon's last also.

Heart looking good in the early stages, couple good chances for Aloisi

I wonder if Syndey will re-sign Bruno? I wouldn't mind us looking at him, he could fill Macallistar's role up front and is a much better finisher.

Nope.

Looks like we aren't going to get Smeltz back though so could have limited options on that frontvaleo2011-02-12 21:37:26

Worth an import spot?

If he can put the ball in the net more often, then yes. For all the good work Macallistar has been doing for us recently, he has missed a few chances that should have been scored.

We need to be more clinical up front, if we want to progress. Better would be nice, but he would be better than a unknown South American.

Honestly, Macallister has far surpassed and expectations of him before he came here. You can't complain about his goals-to-game ratio even though he misses a few sitters (every striker in the league does, lets be honest)

He's a donkey. But he's a donkey that is at the moment doing a good job of pulling the cart.

However, I don't think having him as our point of attack is necessarily ideal or something we shouldn't be looking to improve for next season

Playing Devil's Advocate here.  His scoring rate in recent games isn't as good as D-Mac's and he;s butchered some pretty simple chances as well.

2nd yellow for Sibon, abusing the ref for the first & kicking the ball away for the 2nd, horrible way to get a red.

The same media said Travis Dodd was confirmed and Dodd last night clearly said he'd rather stay in Adelaide and nothing was done yet.

I heard something recently that said Smeltz to perth not a done deal by any margin.

Ben Williams.  Nominated for ref of the year you know.

The way Hearts play, it is surprising that they did not end up in the top 6. I've always found them good to watch.

Macallistar's run of form has coincided with Rojas comming on the scene. Rojas has had a hand in a few of his goals. Bruno hasnt benefited the same way from Petratos.

Strikers do butcher chances, even van Djik has had some shockers. With the way we play, I think Bruno would be able to convert more of the chances than Macallistar over a season.

Honestly, they've played better football than us most of the time. Points count in the end though - fair effort in their first season.

Nice to see Aloisi scorevaleo2011-02-12 22:29:13
