Melbourne's shame. They wwre doing a 2 for 1 deal for this game and STILL can't pull a crowd.

Many have written Heart off for the top 4, even the top 6. Not at all convinced myself. Assuming they win this they can easily get on another roll and overtake us, especially with Fred back.

Go GCU.

Time to see if they having been missing Fred or if its Madaschi. I have a fiver on Heart to win by 2 or more, so GCU is dead certs to win.

Agreed. If someone offered us fourth right now I would take it in a heart beat.

btw, here's a prediction which might incite a bit of indignation: Mark Bosnich reckons the Nix will fail to make the top 6.

Very big call, we have a 6 point lead on 6th and have to face GCU at home. Means Sydney & Heart in 6th will probably need 3 wins in their last 6 just to get level with us. I can't see their form suddenly turning like that.

[Edit: Whoops Heart are 6th, but Sydney are equal points with them anyway]

Would place more credence in that pronouncement if it was from Danny Hay tbh.

I can't be the only one wishing they'd break out the coconut oil...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Can't see the Boys Brigade holding out for too long in the 2nd half.

They have started where they left off, if GCU can sneak a goal here it will be very interesting.

OK I'm going to say it, no matter how well he moves, how great he looks on the ball, etc, etc, Golgol is rubbish and will probably stay rubbish.

What do people think about Bowles for GCU? If we want Manny in the midfield next season, we need another RB, and almost all the GCU players are in the shopping window.

Just watched Contact Sport (ABC AUstralian Network) and one segment was about refugee football in OZ - and all I could think about was an LOL Australian movie I saw during the late '80s during the school holidays about youth footballers/wog bashing/AFL thugs etc.

Any idea what the movie was called?

It's not that I dislike him but commentators around the country continue to massively oversell his talent. Mind you, that's not unusual.

Plot:

Disgruntled wog youth wanna play soccer.  True blue ozzie ockers/school/AFL thugs do everthing they can to stop them.  Anger.  sh*t hits the fan etc etc.  Wogs end up on top playing soccer.

Hah! Slater blames it on Rees. Obviously thinks Rees somehow donned a wig in the last few minutes.

Rees started it by playing a stupid ball across the 18yd box.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
