He's gone bust in the UK probably has millions stashed away off shore also has extensive investments in the US.

I'm sure he's fine.

You can make more money by sticking your savings into property than you can by just leaving it in the bank though...

Certainly in NZ he would, but then we would have to blow our cap on his salary - and he's older than Dura!

Must not have worked for Neil: Neill had been involved in a number of high-profile investments during his playing career, including a US property portfolio

More like higher risk, higher reward. But should put some in a more safe investment as a nest egg, or diversify a bit.

Allegedly

That's how property investment works. In fact probably someone like Terry is using Neil's money to build their property portfolio.

Good article. Kinda sad. He was a good player and captain. Hope he doesnt go down the drug and alcohol road. He would be good on TV as a comments man.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

If you consider that Bosnich seems to have shrugged off drugs and girls eventually and settled into a media role, then Neill may get a stint too. However, Neill never struck me as a larrikin, and that quality seems to be necessary to be a commentator (or to descend into the inevitable mayhem involving girls drugs or both in the first place, for that matter!).
