Heskey v Djite to start with, that is bound to be a goal-fest.

Very interested in the 2nd game of the double header, Glory look to have recruited well and how will the Roar play without Ange in charge.

Interesting to see how Adelaide goes under Kosmina this season. He did a surprisingly good job with them in the Champions league.

Lol 1-0 Reds in first minute

Adelaide have the match fitness, but have to deal with the travel. That early goal will help them greatly.

I like Vidosic. Pity he's injured 80% of the time because when he's fully fit he's a good player to watch.

Whos this new commentator? He sounds like he should be on the TAB channel...

Jets looking ok, just can't crack the compact Adelaide defence.

Heskey trying out for the Knights? Great shoulder charge.

The grass looks long slowing the ball. Adelaide to play into the wind 2nd. Hedley has no brakes

The halftime show shows little to counter that thought.

Really harsh red card for Birighitti.

Not sure, he made himself really big, and it did bounce onto his arm after his chest....

Disgraceful. The ref was right there in line and somehow he still got it wrong.

New season, same old shit referees.

I disagree. Yeah it hit his chest first but also got his outstretched arm at the elbow. Obvious goal scoring opportunity one-on-one with the keeper, red card.

That should've been Bowles second yellow after his blatant stiff-arming earlier which for some unaccountable reason went unpunished by the ref.

How did Adelaide not score.

Ramsey seals it for the Reds.

So much for the 'big 3' of Heskey, Del Piero and Ono!  Zero goals for any of their teams and 1 point between them.

Yip, the more I watch it, the more I lean your way.

14k at the Jets game. With a great day and high membership numbers, that seems a bit disappointing.

I've got no problem with the ref sending him off if the keeper's deliberately handled it, but it's pretty ridiculous that he has determined that a ball cannoning off the keeper's chest and brushing his arm can be deemed a deliberate handball to prevent a goal, and therefore a red card offence.

On first look, I thought it was handball too, as did the commentators, and obviously as did the ref.  Wrong call for me, but hard to criticise the ref too much.

Jets have looked better since he came off, maybe because they stopped lumping it into the box hoping he does something.

Of course he should be criticised! He was right in front of the incident and got it so horribly wrong that he effectively hobbled the Jets chances. Not to mention giving Boogard a yellow card for barely touching Heskey, then literally a minute later allowing Bowles much worse foul to go unpunished.

Maybe he served the ban from the GF red on their tour of SA? Kinda like us serving bans in India.

It doesnt matter if it hit his chest first, it still struck the arm. If this happened anywhere else on the pitch it wouldve been hand ball. The only reason it was a red here was because it was one on one, and not only that but a shot on goal. The keeper through both his arms out for christ sake..

I thought the Brizzy keeper was called "Theotockoloss" or something?  What is he?  Prince/The Sign?

Smeltz should of had a penalty. Not difficult to see that one.

Anyone know why Fitzgerald is allowed the number 24 still?

Think its just a break of the rule without realising it or has the rule changed??

Roar are definately not the same team they were under Ange.

Still a pretty impressive attacking line up for all that. They will be right up there this season.

Some stupid errors but this has been the best quality game of the round so far.
