WTF is going on here? I read he went to court this week but why? Is he looking to come to Newcastle or get out of a deal with Newcastle?

Doesnt wont to play here for the Jets, prefers to play in the Chinese league where he has been. The Chinese wont pay the requested  transfer fee though, it was once $1m but dropped to 750 thou and now that that price hasnt been accepted, the possibility has been dropped altogether by Jets owner Stan the man.
So joel was supposed to go to training but didnt and it is in the courts

edit: I notice  in the paper that joels claim is that the Jets wont honour the transfer fee of 350 thou, I suspect that was an early figure, and that once he was making an impression there, the Jets owner upped the anti.

My figures above from memory from reading about it in the Newcastle paper over the season, so could be hazy

My understanding is that Jets said he could go for 350 000 (on top of the 500 000 already paid for the loan), Beijing said no, Vignarolli got injured, Jets took offer off the table, Beijing then say yes, but offer now not on for Jets, Joel whinging that jets broke the agreement (note agreement, not contract)

Joel is a tool of a man. No one likes him as a person.
