Gold Coast United are out to underline their glamour status by persuading former Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu to join them for a nine-game guest player stint.

Coach Miron Bleiberg initially targeted the 33-year-old Portsmouth striker when he co-fronted up the unsuccessful Gold Coast Galaxy consortium 18 months ago � and now he has reignited his interest in the lanky, languid � and sometimes lethal - Nigerian international, whose wizardly and audacious touches have set him apart from the crowd.

Kanuuuuuu...

One of the best Arsenal Players.
That would be pretty cool. He is more of a star at the moment than Fowler..

Undoubtedly people will find something funny about his name.

I don't see him moving out of europe tbh.
He would be an idiot to move to the A-league.

Whilst Kanu is loved by many Arsenal fans the only ex-Arsenal player who would illicit the kind of fervour that the Liverpudlians have for Fowler would be DB10
