So for those of you that have managed to catch the Mariners, how has McGlinchey looked so far? What position has he been playing and what seem to be his strengths/weaknesses? Any info would be much appreciated.

I've watched all the CCM games so far but he hasn't really impressed me. To be fair that's partly because I expected greater things fom him as an ex-SPL player, and also because CCM is a very average side playing a dull, utilitarian style of football which doesn't make anyone stand out.

That said, as a midfielder he has a tidy passing game, distributes well and is now working up some good combinations with the CCM mids and forward line. Perhaps one of those players who don't seem to be that influential, yet when they are out injured or something their loss is felt badly.

All purely subjective! I'm sure others will have different opinions on him.

I agree. The CCM style of play doesn't lead itself well to anyone standing out (though Matt Simon did well last seson).

Solid while not flash in first half, didn't do much wrong. Got subbed after Ivan was sent off so that Scott could come on and we kept 4 at the back, so missed entire second half.

Thought he played well in the time that he got.

i like the look of im from what i've seen. Could be that central creative spark the AWs have been missing?

The games I have seen of him the looks good.
Runs the CCM midfield well and supports the front runners with some great through balls.
Not shy in taking the player on.
Good work rate.

Ever since Chris James has gone missing. He was an outstanding prospect who played with a lot of attacking flair.

Again McGlinchey took total control of the CCM midfield.
CCM actually play through the midfield when Mcglinchey plays ( not so many long balls).

True. Very, very solid last night. Shows how much they missed him the previous week.
