Newcastle v Sydney at 7pm, then GCU v Perth at 9pm ... both on SS1.

Since beating the Phoenix 3-1 on December 1, Sydney have lost five in a row without even scoring a goal.  For the sake of the Phoenix's top six chances they really need them to find some form against the Jets and get something from this one.

2-0 syd

Could be the start of a bad run for the Jets with Ljubo injured and Jeffers going home - good news for us if so though we still need to winvaleo2011-01-03 19:52:48

lol @Kennedy not picking the ball up with his hands
and @Abbas (D'Apuzzo?) diving with his back to the ball trying to prevent Cazarine from scoring the 2nd goal!

Not a bad first half.

Cazarine would be the perfect striker for us. Strong, skilful, good in the air, good first touch and a very un-Brazilian work ethic. Would suit our style better than practically any other striker in the league.

Newcastle do seem to be over-represented by escapees from a National Front rally. Quite unattractive.

I know, I know, its serious!

Back to the football (sort of). Excellent show by the away fans. Well done Cove.
