Reasonably match fit ?

He turned up in the States and within a fortnight mangled a knee.  He only played one game or so.

He's injury prone.

That does make him (1) match fit a few months ago.

To be honest, I was going off the article. Perth say he will be ready for Boxing Day.

That's a shame about Amaral. He's one of the players I've most enjoyed watching this season.

One odd statistic about him which I found quite surprising is that he has apparently never scored a goal in professional football.

Amaral looked quality in the games he played. Shame about his injury.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Hate to burst the bubble, but Wikipedia have him scoring one for MKS Pogon Szczecin in the 2006-2007 season, though it didn't do them much good as they finished bottom of the Polish first division and got relegated down two leagues to the third.

Still... imagine his celebrations at that one. I thought David Batty had a low goal scoring record.
