Fkn hell, how bad is it that we're praying for the worst team in the Southern Hemisphere to do us a favour!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

"Being a Partick Thistle fan sets you apart. It means youre a free thinker. It also means your team has no money." Tim Luckhurst, The Independent, 4th December 2003

Angulo subbed for tactical reasons after 34m. Must be about the 3rd time recently he has been subbed first half?  Thats gotta hurt your pride.

Fury still in with a shout here. Merrick subs off Fatboy to his obvious displeasure.

Seriously, almost tragic for their supporters.  Kind of like us in February 2007.  But probably in a worse state tbh.

Their club's very existence is hanging by a thread...

I think they are done for - surely if they were to be saved then someone would have announced it ages ago.  I have sympathy but they don't really seem to have done enough to stay in the league.

And those who have been up there will know it's all league territory - them out and Canberra in really wouldn't have a big effect on the league or on Aussie football.  There are already 2 QLD teams which is plenty.

We should just be looking wt which of their players we might be interested in.

If Akoto gets a gig anywhere else I will be shocked.

Most of their players are spoken for, the rest aren't worth bothering about. Last time I heard Williams and Hughes, their two best players, had committed to stay on till the bitter end in the hope/expectation that the club will be around next season.

There was talk by the commentators tonight that Fury will be granted an extension to seek more funding; also the option of a restructuring that would see them playing matches in Cairns and Darwin, plus a name change to Northern Fury or somesuch to reflect wider geographical interest .

So it's either a straw grasping exercise or positive news, not sure which.
