Surely they'll lose a few out of those games...
Pelligra's Glory FC
Lowe confirmed, poor Glory fans.
Still think this.

Well done Kenny Lowe and team that result might shut a lot of people up.
Big - FFA has issued Perth Glory with a show cause notice re: player payment discrepancies/non-disclosures #aleague

FFA announces show cause for Glory over player payments but seems they can breathe easy as FFA saying no Salary Cap issues. Likely fined.

Be interesting if there is any outcome to this? I'm new to this so has it happen before and has player missed games/ban because of off field stuff?

Unglorious cheating fudges
Dynamite.
Always wondered how they got Keogh under the cap.
Man I'm going to be watching this with interest....
Funny reading some of the Facebook comments on the A-League and FoxSports pages, with some accusing them of picking on them because they aren't from NSW or Victoria. Kind of like we do sometimes as NZers.
Also the comments others are saying other clubs should be investigated, most aimed at Victory as people can't believe they are under the cap.
I must admit I am intrigued with Melbourne as well.
When you look at this as being their 2nd 'show cause' notice in the space of 2 months, you would suspect that there is something funny going on over there in Perth. It would be very unusual that the leagues salary cap auditors, guys that are trained in the implementation of this and all its workings, would be wrong a 2nd time. You could say 'Ok, 1st time we got it wrong, saw all the figures, our bad' but for a 2nd time? You would think they would have been given all the information on the 1st notice and have a very clear and recent knowledge of the structure of Perths' cap so a 2nd notice to me, just says they are nicked.

Aparently Victory have two marquees (not sure who the two are) and then the others are on top pay and rest get peanuts. So where a lot see trouble is FBK will be wanting more money next season and club may not be able to hold onto him.
As for Perth, I agree if they are askign for more then you think this shows there is something to the claims.
The FFA are soaking the Bus Ticket at this very moment.
"It's nothing to do with Keogh"
Followed by bullet points of allegation from FFA some of which are clearly to do with Keogh.

Berisha and Milligan.

But Berisha and Milligan are outside the cap.

Berisha and Milligan.
And the chance to play CAM
Ah... Why would you wanna do that? Surely if you are that crash hot, you should just go straight to Europe and make it there.

Victory squad was 20 players to start the season.
Minus 2 marquee's = 18 players
Victory have 7 players that have come thru their ranks and prob still on near minimum (so 7 x 50k)
Minus home grown allowance of 150k (basically pays for your 3 u21 kids)
(2.55m - 200k for 4 ex NYL kids)/ 18 - 4 = 167k a year average to pay the rest of the squad.
That home grown allowance doesn't seem very fair on us.

I know the players union might have an issue with it but the MLS system of publishing the salaries each year is very useful in sorting this out.
Sunlight, disinfectant, yada yada...
[actually did a quick google and appears that the US soccer players union might be behind the salary list. Not sure though]
Perth's squad isn't very good for having two marquees and breaching the cap. Compare that to what we have done with a lot less. The Victory do amaze me because apparently FBK was on a lot of money before he came to Australia.

Most of the American sports report their contracts, the players are behind most of the contracts being put out there, it keeps it all in the open, sometimes some of the bonus clauses are not as clear, but it does mean it is easy to see Salary Cap breaches. Though in saying that, the report by Perth in this case would've ben exactly the same, showing $150k in salary with the other payments ignored.

Talk is he is on 250K here.
Can't they just hire a bunch of community coaches on massively inflated salaries who just happen to be good footballers who are willing to play first team football?
Remove all goals they guy made and see how the games would have ended.
The guy?
Rumour has it it is more than one.
And besides, remove all the goals he scored... what about ones he set up?

It does screw Perth for next season. They will need to make some new signings for next season as every team does but won't have the money to do it.
Think it's fair to say that they are toast. 400k is not 'only just over'
