It will be incredibly difficult for the Glory players to psyche themselves up for this, especially as the axe has come down literally just hours before kickoff. Sydney must be thinking a win is there for the taking.
Pelligra's Glory FC
Rugged.
Not sure if you're trying to say "rigged" with an exaggerated kiwi accent?
269k fine, biggest chunk for this season.

They get the amount of points deducted to be on the 7th place after all rounds are played.
Sounds fair.
Except for the 3 teams they finish ahead of
Wish we had Perth again this season. Don't see why they just didn't void all their games - every game they had been cheating, should just give everyone a win for the games against Perth.
But some teams may have done well against Perth this team. If you have beaten a cheating side 2 or 3 times then you should be rewarded for that. Otherwise teams just get rewarded for being poor against Perth earlier in the season.
Domey thinks we would've won the league if Perth hadn't cheated
"Perth beat the Phoenix 3-2 in the 11-12 finals and there were now question marks over that."
Through all of this I feel sorry for the average Perth fan who'd have never known what's going on and in the space of a few minutes saw a very promising season end with nothing.
I'm sure the payments were Sage's idea too.

When Melbourne got stripped of points they started playing even better. You can't tell how these things will go.
Central Coast don't have anything to play for either and results against them will still count.
lol @ Perth

But the three seasons of rorting are 2014/15, 2013/14 and 2012/13. So how do the 2011/12 finals come into the mix?

Quite right!
Because reasons. I should have known.
(this is my favourite phrase for the moment)
Interesting they were made 7th place and not last. Me thinks that the likes of the TAB may have had some sway in that decision.
Could have merit.
The thing that pisses me off is that these guys are still going to appeal.
Burn, baby, burn....

"Perth Glory fans have vented their frustrations at the club's hierarchy before causing a ruckus in the stands as the team slumped to a 3-0 loss to Sydney FC in Perth.
On the way into the ground, one of Glory's supporter groups chanted "We want Sagey out" in reference to owner Tony Sage.
Then, during the game, a series of flares were set off within the club's active supporter group section amid wild scenes.
Things escalated after Sydney went 3-0 up in the second half, with the supporter base venturing onto the concourse to set off more flares.
Chief executive Jason Brewer made his way to the area in an attempt to calm things down, but the group responded with the chant: "Jason Brewer, you're not welcome here".
VenueWest chief executive officier David Etherton said the venue would be working with police to crack down on flare lighting and other inappropriate behaviour from fans.
"In response to this behaviour VenuesWest will impose a five-year ban on the patrons who were involved with setting the flares off within the venue," he said.
"Other patrons who displayed disorderly or inappropriate behaviour will also face lengthy bans."
how on earth did Jason Brewer think his presence would calm things down?!
He was going to tell them it wasn't his fault
Ernie Merrick has called for regular Football Federation Australia audits of all clubs in the wake of the Perth Glory salary cap scandal.

Is that not total obvious and is not not already happening?
It always surprises me how stupid some journalist are, one of them really tried to put words in his mouth, that Ernie suggest that other clubs are over the salary cap, too.

Going thru 2 channels.
Might need a win or two to get our home final yet
"Football Federation Australia is fuming that Perth Glory will seek an injunction from the WA Supreme Court before even lodging an appeal with the governing body over the decision to ban them from this season's finals series.
The Glory's legal representatives filed papers to the court at 6pm local time last Friday – barely hours before they kicked off against Sydney FC, a game they lost 3-0 – but Justice Robert Mitchell adjourned the application until 2.15pm this Monday.
The club was given seven days to appeal the FFA's initial decision to fine them $269,000 and to automatically downgrade their final ladder position to seventh after finding Perth guilty of systematic salary cap breaches.
Perth still haven't filed their appeal with the FFA but they have until 5pm on Monday week to do so. Glory owner Tony Sage has already said publicly that he intends to lodge an appeal, although the timing of the injunction application shows their intent to circumvent the FFA's stated process.
If the injunction is to be upheld, FFA may be required to reinstate Glory as a finals contender and delay the issuing of the fine. It is understood the club is hoping the matter can be dealt with after the season is over."

FFA wouldn't be able to exclude them from the finals series until the court says they're allowed to. Which would be well after the finals series. It's a bullsh*t move. Fudgeing lawyers.

Going over the cap to get Zadkovich, Nichols and Garcia, has to the funniest part of this saga.
This line here is just absolute rubbish - "It’s believed that the payment methods were not disclosed to Keogh until after his family had arrived in Perth and that he was unaware of any illegalities."
How on earth would Perth Glory get the bank accounts of his family members to pay the cash into?????????
*Brrringggg Brrringggg* Hello? Yeah are you Andy Koeghs' sister? Yeah we are going to drop a cool $150k into your account but don't tell him. Now what's your account number?"
Anyone who thinks that scenario unfolded, please go stand in the corner by yourself.

Court action is now suspended until the appeal through FFA happens
Dew Process or Due Process or is it lets try and find someone who thinks we did not break the RULES

Court injunction stopped by Perth.
I love the headline here "In the spirit of the game".
Does paying your players illegally fit into that description?

Fellow Perth Glory Fans,
Due to the piss poor management of the club for the past few seasons, the terrace and all subgroups have decided to collectively take a stand together, and to boycott all future PGFC games until further notice.
We will be congregating at the main gates at 2:30pm where we will stage a silent protest until kickoff at approximately 3pm.
Once KO commences, we will cheer for the lads on the park from the OUTSIDE of the stadium.
We encourage ALL fans of the club to take part in this stand against the club's management and to make a point to Sage that we no longer support him running our club
Interesting difference between Perth fans and the RBB. Perth realise this is the clubs making and are protesting accordingly.
If this was WSW it would be all the FFA / Hamatoto / Fox / The Pope / Walt Disney fault

Bloody San Lorenzo fans!
so what was it that made the ffa investigate? Still confused
former employee whistleblowing.
The Disciplinary Committee will hear Perth Glory’s application that the board of FFA had no power to impose sanctions on the Club for breaches of the salary cap.

yeah but would it be too late to exclude them from the finals by that point?
