Perth radio station 6PR tweeted overnight that Sage had apparently told local newspaper The West Australian that he would be quitting the club at the end of this season.

It is understood the Australian Federal Police (AFP) spent several hours in the soccer club's Leederville building as well as at the office of mining company Cape Lambert Resources, which Mr Sage chairs.
yeah not pretty
Bas van den Brink | The club have agreed to mutually terminate the final three months of van den Brink's contract. A release will follow.
Wow, they're dropping like flies today.
btw Ryan, cheers for your good work with the news grabs. They save me a heaps of time.
Off to Churchill Brothers in India, according to someone on my Twitter feed.
Something not right in Perf
"Something not right in... [insert club here]" seems to be the theme of the day.
We should not be surprised, one of the worst defenders in the league.

Lucky they've got the classy Steve Pantelidis to cover for him.
As I said earlier Van den Brink leaves @PerthGloryFC. Hearing there's a possibility Shane Smeltz might go to China, but nothing concrete
If Smeltz goes back to China, he is just an idiot. He can get top dollar in the A-League, he doesn't need to chase the cash over there.
we all know what happened the last time he went to china. Good god does the man remember?
Oh how I would love for him to come back here.
You have to wonder what does go through his head.

We'd probably need to release a player and somehow get him off our books to do it.

Which comes back to my affore mentioned statement of needing to get a player off the books. Its not the spots, its the cap. They will not go over it.

I've watched every game he has played in this league and yes he has had a couple of good games and scored some goals but he cannot read a game and his passing (anything over 15 metres) is hopeless.
MEDIA CONFERENCE | Perth Glory Chairman Tony Sage will hold a media conference this morning at 11am.
(3pm NZT I think)
Ian ferguson out?
Oh shit!
Sounds like it is Fergie Out.
I was wrong, it's 4pm NZT.

OK my mates in WA saying Ian Ferguson is the latest coaching casualty.
Sounds like he's a goner.

This is interesting.
Perth are not out of the playoff picture yet so Sage obviously feels that a different voice/tactics is needed or that the coach has lost the changing room. Teams that change coaches usually come out firing for 1-2 games. Either way, he has only have made this change if he wants to push into the 6. Why else get someone else in for 6 rounds?
Of more interest is who comes in for the push. The cupboard is not exactly flush.
Just read the article. I thought our form was poor. No goals in 5 hours and 2 points in the last 8 games. Wow that's a drop.
Guess it was not smart releasing all those players...
We've conceded a shoitload more and 3 of our points came from them...

Coaches dropping like flies. Not statue Herbert though. He'll survive nuclear fallout.
We were right. Ferguson goneskies. Australia U20's coach Alistair Edwards has been named coach in his place.
Also, Bas van der Brink has been left club-less after his India deal fell through.
Oh how I would love for him to come back here.
