dodd dod, verb. to criticise unexpectedly and/or without obvious justification; particularly past football associates.

"Yeah, he's all friendly now but I reckon he'll dodd us when he goes"

"Come on mate, leave it out, you're sounding pretty doddy"

"Well Fred, we are in for an interesting night with the return to the stadium of an ex team mate of the home side, now in the opposition.  He could be in for a bit of attention, what with all the dodding he's indulged in recently"
