Roar 1-0 up but should be 2-0. Big upset if they win this.

Roar would be absolutely nowhere this season without Henrique. I've not seen him in better form.

How does it take more than ten minutes to sub off an obviously crippled player? Ridiculous that Henrique had to limp round for all that time.

That tackle on him was a shocker too.

It was, and no card.  Not surprised really as this ref is one of the poorest in the league.

Yep, and another head-scratching decision there at the end when he retrospectively carded Elrich. Clearly had no intention of booking him until he realised that Solorzano was hurt. Maybe the lino informed him but then why didn't he raise his flag as soon as the tackle went in?

Bloody A League officials....

That should be 1 - 1, horrible miss

That's a hand ball? You've got to be kidding! Man this ref is a clown.

Permalink Permalink

refs lost it. Two yellows to Brisbane players, last not one, probably not even a  handball. No card for the Adelaide pro-foul down the other end

Sanchez should have buried that

heh, enjoyed Adelaide using at home. Hope Brisbane don't get their act together against us.

I'm not much of a Roar fan but they deserved that win.

Will be a few on here who did their money on this game.

Only saw the second half but I'm really surprised they held on. Adelaide wasted so many good chances.

As they did against WSW last week. Played 80 minutes against ten men, 89% possession, 25 shots to 1 and they could still only win 2-0. Yet all week the TV football pundits have been jizzing themselves about how fantastic Adelaide were. Not saying they aren't good but  maybe they aren't quite the A League giants the hype would suggest.

WTF is it with A League teams?.. You get right up by the opposition goal area and then you pass it back to either your own goalkeeper or close to it with a CB standing way back? Are players too afraid to do a tight turn and carry on playing forward?

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

HT Perth 1 Jets 0

Looked like Jets were going to fall apart like a wet tissue but they came back into it well. Don't seem likely to score though.

Hah, Carney's butchered that.

All done, 2-0. Once Jaliens got sent off the Jets were toast.

Archie just keeps banging them in year after year. Can't imagine an A League season without him.

And now they are scoring them.

On ya Smeltzy!

Permalink Permalink

Berisha should have scored that. How did the defenders give him so much space though?

A game like that is why I feel we are a little way off the top 4. I guess we will find out next week.

You might not think that if we had buried our chances last night. Bring it on!

No. I thought our performance last night was very impressive. I was more comparing the intensity of our game to that of the Big Blue. Sydney have gone toe to toe with the top teams this season. We haven't...yet. Based on that Sydney would have to be favourites next week.

Yeh what i was meaning was that our intensity will lift to the intensity of the opposition, unlike the ccm who just sat back. Should be a great battle
