New round kicks off with Sydney hosting the Roar at 9:30pm tonight. ADP back for the Smurfs and Berisha out for the Roar.

Given Sydney's home record under Farina and the Roar's lack of depth up front, I think Sydney could pick up some points tonight. Picking the draw.

Both Emmo and ADP passed fit and starting tonight. Hingert also ruled out for the Roar.

Sydney: Janjetovic; Bojic Petkovic Ryall Abbas; Thompson, Carle; Emerton, Del Piero, Garcia; Despotovic

Brisbane: Theo; Smith, North, Donachie, Brattan Petratos, Franjic, Miller, McKay, Henrique, Broich

ADP theatrics secure a free kick, and he slots it around the wall. ADP FC 1-0

Just to good

Jade North won't be overly happy with the free kick but can't deny the quality of that free kick.

Wow what a game this is

Bojic miles behind his defence playa Broich onside, who calmly converts his chance.

And now a Roar penalty!

Just absolutely blown apart this game

Bojic doesn't really look interested so

Great pen

Pet Rat converts the pen at a second attempt. What drama!

Fun game so far.

Henrique looks real good for Brisbane.

ADP looks sorta shit aside from the quality free kick.

Seems like it was ADP, rather than Bojic who played Broich onside.

Brisbane are so lovely to watch when they are on form, Pet Rat with the brace 1-3

Always pleasant to see Sydney on the rack.

Like a chocoholic but for booze

Another penalty for Brisbane, surely that should be a red?

Sydney back to their best

Was ADP injured or did he just give up?

Lol Theo. Game ends 2-5, proving I am a rubbish tipper.

Permalink Permalink

Seriously, how are Sydney 5th? Apart from a period at the start of the 2nd half they were rubbish tonight. Gamiero was one of their better players though, would have been great if he had of stayed here.

It's funny how the commentators try to talk Sydney up an the ADP fanboyism is a bit annoying, he had 50% pass accuracy! The 5:2 is flattering.

Sounds like the NT still isn't happy with MV, so will be boycotting tonights match.

Dear North Terrace members and fellow Melbourne Victory fans,

It is with regret we inform you that, as a result of the unsatisfactory proposition made from Melbourne Victory Football Club (MVFC) to the North Terrace Collective (NTC), there will be no organised support from the North Terrace at this Saturday’s match against Western Sydney.

The NTC is in unanimous agreement that MVFC’s proposal for returning to the “active area” is absolutely unacceptable.

Given the fact Saturday’s match is a fully ticketed event, organising the North Terrace in a separate section of the stadium – as would normally occur – is impossible.

Moreover, due to the timing of MVFC’s submitted proposal, the NTC is not currently in a position to provide a detailed response listing our full objections to the offer. We ask fans to remain patient and expect such a statement in the week prior to our next home match on Saturday 4 January.

We understand many fans have already purchased tickets to Saturday’s fixture, and therefore encourage supporters to enjoy the match and the one-sided atmosphere MVFC has likely created.

Please note that, despite this disappointing situation, the North Terrace remains united and committed to creating an inclusive home end that is welcoming to all supporters. We are hopeful this situation will be resolved soon and the North Terrace can return to creating the sort of atmosphere that has become iconic within Australian football.

We ask fans to follow this page for further updates.

I'm completely out of the loop regarding supporter culture in the A-League outside of the Phoenix, what's the problem there, in a nutshell?

Seems like all sorts of drama.

Legitimate to boycott?

A few issues but the major one is MVFC wanting to change the Northern Terrace from general admission to ticketed seats.
