Perth with the best chances so far. Brisbane look flat.

Do I detect a degree of indifference following last nights disaster. Not a lot of chat.

Mind you not much to say. After early jitters Brisbane on top (cue Perth goal I suspect!)

I know, I know, its serious!

It's a weird sort of game. Both teams have that frustrated body language when things aren't going right. Lots of arm waving and yelling at team mates.

Gallas playing centre forward, no effort to get back. He is getting upset with some of his team mates.

Lots of sloppy passes from both sides.

HT 0-0

Brisbane need to learn to shot from outside the box.

Have to admit I find Roar's style a bit tired and stale. Obviously I can't argue with it's general effectiveness but my old school football brain gets frustrated at all that relentless passing and the lack of shooting and crossing.

Roar do struggle when teams park the bus and don't allow you to get in behind them. Roar weren't afraid to do the long shots when they were winning earlier this season but the last few weeks have gone back to Ange ball and trying to walk it in.

Good save from Danny. Shot from outside the box.

Can see this one being decided by a penalty or a own goal

More shots and crosses in first 8 minutes than the whole 1st half!

Good Header, Roar 1-0 Franjic

Game should open up more unless Perth settle for a loss

Permalink Permalink

Was just typing that Franjic needs to get pushed forward, so he can get more involved. Doesn't score with his head often.

About time Brisbane.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Well Brisbane scored but did there best to stuff it up. 2-0 Miller

That was hilarious. Another fine advertisement for A League football!

Nice shot, nice goal,Broich 3-0

On that performance we should easily beat Perth.

True, but they are awful.

FT 3-1 Roar.

Brisbane deserved the win, Perth were pants.

Every season has it's ups and downs but I can't remember another one with such an extreme contrast in footballing quality. On the one hand it's been a catalogue of farcical defensive blunders and ludicrous failures in front of goal, on the other the most brilliantly taken solo goals and long range strikes. Most of the latter against us it seems.

Sounds like no Kosta in the Derby tonight.

I guess a draw is the best result for us. Its been pretty ho-hum so far tbh.

A couple shots on target from CCM. Sydney playing quite deep

Nice free kick from Kim 1-0 CCM.

Is Robbie Slater's son on the bench for CCM?

Wall wasn't helping much and the players didnt even jump

Permalink Permalink

lack of jumping in wall was issue rather than placement in my view.

Yep, no one jumped and all the short guys on the end of the wall
Permalink Permalink

Agree. Wrote post before replay and having short guys at end was dumb. Left a real gap for Kim to aim at.

I know, I know, its serious!

Is John Hutchison the most whingy player in the A-League? Can't stand him

I think he use to be worse then he is now. But in seeing that haven't watched all the games he has played in

Garcia for Sydney. 1-1

CCM have had a couple of chances on the break, but Sydney in control
