How did Simon miss that ...

Hope the Sydney Derby provides more excitement.

Not the best 2nd half. CCM happy to cede possession and not pressing until Adelaide got into their half. Were a bit direct with Simon and Duke up front. Sainsbury is really good.

WSW 1.0 up, but against the run of play.

This is gonna be a slaughter. Sydney's back four is horrible.

Ono with WSW's second. useless defending really

How long do you think Farina will last this season?

Top goal, but poor defending. WSW 2.0

Hardly Farinas fault. He does not have the players.Wenger could not do anything with these guys.

I know, but it always seems to be the coach sacked. He might even just give up - "you guys are shit, I'm out"

WSW is such a good story. Their fans are amazing. something to aspire to.

Do they get home shirts with their membership packs or has everyone actually gone out and bought one?

3 of the back 4 are players he signed. Sydney have been ravaged by injuries but that seems to follow Crea, who Farina wanted for their fitness coach.

Not sure what a new coach could do with this squad tho. They have too much cap invested in a few players, so got tons of squad fillers.

It doesn't hurt that in their first season they almost won the league. We got the wooden spoon. I would also venture to say that a good portion of their supporters are ex bling !

Our first season's average home crowd was also almost as much as WSW last season.

Just over 40,000 official attendance at the Sydney derby.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Sky are so shit, they cut the game off with 2 mins added time remaining. They can't go a season without fucking up multiple times. What's next ..

Permalink Permalink

Yeah sky are so inept. They didn't show the first bit of the half time coverage either. They started playing what seemed like the pre match then went to an ad.

Maybe we would've done better if we were allowed extra import spots (maybe Cleberson or George had a Brazilian mate that was actually good?) and were given any funding required by FFA.

I still can't believe that WSW are allowed extra import spots this season. It's a farce. Almost as much as a farce is the fact that several clubs players served their bans in pre-season. Real amateurish stuff from the league.

Fuck sky. So so poor. They clearly hate football

What really bugs me is their (Sky) lack of understanding that the customers actually expect value for their money.

*sigh* way to miss the point of the post. I wasn't having a dig at us.
But with imports.. we're allowed NZ players still as locals (for some crazy reason), no other team is.

Went to the match, thought it was average, both teams were pretty clumsy, Roar exploded a bit midway through second half.. Thought they at least deserved a draw.

Victory are as impotent on goal as a 65 year old man in bed. My god the bull shit they pull around goal. At least it wasn't as bad as the derby.

Kosta should have scored a couple of time huh...resuming his AWs form...

Half time at NIB and I think we have another 0-0 on our hands. What's going on with the A-League? Has it always been this shit to start with?

Be fair - George was NEVER given a chance in his preferred position. He would have lit up the league if Ricki had seen his potential.

Round 3: 5 games - 5 goals, not enough but that's how it goes sometimes. Hope for better next weekend
