meh. I considered taking the number 88 once because the number 8 was taken. Context is important.

Maybe the player is not worth it but would be worth it financially to the club.

Would still count as a visa player for the ACL but not for the A-League

Is it just mean, or do some bang average A-league players get picked up by K-League teams?

Good $$$ for Apiah though. He'll probably be there a couple of seasons, play 9 games, and return to CCM with a much fatter wallet.

Wanderers fan on Twitter was just posing the same question. Appiah would be a new low for them tho

To be fair he has been surprisingly effective this season, except in front of goal of course. He's improved his ball protection and passing game, and fits in well with that fast, high intensity attacking game that Okon likes.

Still, it's a bit of a strange move. I could name a whole bunch of youngish attacking A League players that would be a better buy.

How is that possible?

Fabio has Australia citizenship but for the AFC to recognise it, you have to have held it for a year. Fabio hasn't had it for a year yet (same deal with Berisha for the Victory).

Have to say that's very strange. Where did you get that from as I can't see it anywhere in the ACL rules and regs.

Looks like they have snagged their defender, wonder if Fabio will be the attacker or if its someone else?

SYDNEY FC has managed to snare Adelaide United defender Ben Warland 24 hours after the Reds rejected the Sky Blues offer.

Adelaide chairman Greg Griffin on Wednesday morning confirmed Warland was expected to pen a deal this afternoon after the 21-year-old defender approached the Reds asking for a transfer.

No idea but its been widely reported that it is the rule

"It would not prevent the club from having to chop one of its four foreigners – Berisha, Leroy George, Matias Sanchez or Kosta Barbarouses – from the upcoming Asian Champions League given the rules for the tournament."

Should just allow transfer fees in the HAL.
