Auckland's bargaining power wouldn't be that strong to command that kind of fee in January, considering his deal runs out at the end of this coming season and in January with 6 months left on his contract he would be free to talk to clubs and sign pre-contract agreements for the end of the season.

If Cosgrove wanted to leave, and Auckland really wanted to get something back for him - they may end up having to take whatever they are offered, otherwise risk him leaving for nothing at the end of the season.

selling cosgrove now would put a ittl;e bit of pressure on the new manager to replace him, might not get a new front man until jan.

Queenslander 3x a year.

That will be the plan. This is Grant's last year on his contract with Sydney & is currently 35.

Reasonable chance that Overy takes over the starting role at some point early in the season.

Now 2 of the Toure brothers are back. Righto. Now Musa can see Al Hassan in Sydney. 

Seems the other at Norwich is the most successful of them all now. 14 goals at Norwich already and assists too.

Mariners don't have an experienced starting level striker. I imagine he could go there. Or Perth.
His wages would put CCM out of the race, unless they need someone to help them hit the cap floor. Can't see him signing for anyone that isn't a serious contender for the Premiers Plate tbh.

Maybe you are right. I'm concerned for the Mariners though, no convincing main striker, only a few weeks until October.
