For the first time since the start of the A-League, clubs could be allowed to transfer players between one another after a proposal was put forward that will permit loan moves next season.

Football Federation Australia is set to meet with the clubs and the Australian players' union, the PFA, next week in the hope of rubber-stamping a change to the regulations that could have major implications on player development and terms of contracts for young local footballers.

Gonna go out on a limb here, the first loan will be DDS to City.

Ok, I got the team wrong but in my defence he was being rather heavily linked at the time.

Wow, that's a decent signing. Has been a little injury prone recently but normally keeps himself in excellent condition. Would be great either behind or alongside Riera

Had ankle surgery, got an infection and missed the season. Frankfurt legend. We could do worse, good as a false nine, a 10 or just as a striker.

If Baumjohann is today's announcement, I wonder if he is another target for WSW. They have two visa slots left

The Central Coast Mariners thank De Silva for his efforts and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

For someone that has just completed the first year of a four year deal, that is an intriguing way to finish the Club Statement by CCM.

Are they hoping for some good performances, possibly in the AFC, and be able to pocket a transfer fee in the future?

Just read about Da Silva - cool that U23 domestic players can be loaned out to other A-League clubs, absolute bullshark that while on loan they can't play against their parent club!

Standard practice in loan moves. Just imagine if a club loaned a Keeper and they made a howler vs their parent club

Not in Italy as far as I know. I think if a player did that, it would be the end of his professional career.
Nothing like playing against your parent club to get the attention of the gaffer who sent you off on loan if you ask me.

I still think it should be up to the new club whether to play a loanee or not personally.

I think it should be up to the two clubs and the player to negotiate.

You know we belong together...

I think in most leagues that's how it works.

Hearing Victory are expecting to finalise deals for both Keisuke Honda and Jamie Maclaren by the end of the week. Thats a scary front three of Barbarouses-JMac-Honda.

Honda's career is winding down anyway. I'm perplexed at why J-Mac would want to come back already at this point in his career. Victory won't be complaining though, that attack will be the best in the league

TWG reporting that the Victory are putting 1.3m towards Honda's wages & the Fox Sports marquee fund is putting towards 1.6m.

There was a rumour going round on the live broadcast of Sydney FC and Blacktown City last night that Newcastle are looking to possibly bring a NSW NPL player in as their backup goalkeeper.

I thought I heard the name Tom Manos mentioned and one of the Sydney FC under 20 keepers, also it seems Jordan Murray will be snapped up by an A League club.

Also Danny Choi made another comeback from injury in the second half last night, looked impressive and really up for it but got cut down in a bad tackle which resulted in the Sydney FC player being red carded, fortunately he got up fairly quickly so hopefully he will be okay for next week.

The match is available to watch on the NSW NPL Facebook page if anyone's interested.
