Heard a repeat of the Brisbane rumour again today from a random dude at work, but for some reason I thought they'd already filled all their import slots. 

They already have Henrique, Solorzano and Kurtisi as visa players anyway.

I suspect that Adelaide were probably already at the salary cap so couldn't offer as much as Newcastle.

They released him, so they can sign another Spanish winger/midfielder. As I posted awhile back, they were shopping him around.

Paartalu to the Jets?

The Jets seem to be all over the place at the moment. on the positive, they have offloaded some mediocre players (e.g Zadk...ich, Caravella) but seem to be taking a punt on a few loan signings and trying to get the best out of Flores and Neumann again. 

I remember Paartalu being average but he thought he was bigger than his team, laid into Rado Vidosic and once he angled for a move from Roar he just coasted and looked truly mediocre. I reckon he will look like a donkey if he goes to a team like Jets who are rebuilding and need people up for it. 

I quite like the Jets as I think they are similar to us in that they are a small scrappy club. We had Terry and they have Tinkler. 

Plus it's a great away trip and their fans are decent.

They could do better than a lazy merc like Portaloo.

Nah, probably because he was rubbish and hardly played because of that. But he was on big bucks.

If it was a mutual termination then it could allow CCM to cover McGlinchey in their squad prior to 1 Jan 2015, which seems when they have budgeted him to back from loan. If that's the case could open a spot for McGlinchey back at CCM.

Sounds like his move to Torpedo Moscow will be confirmed in the next few days. Massive loss for the Roar.

Would Ronaldinho actually be much of a draw card? I think he is too past his prime for anyone to bother signing him.
