Hoping the Reds get absolutely smashed here. No Cassio for Adelaide, much to Patrick's delight.

Vidosic free kick puts the Reds 1-0 up after a couple minutes.

Love the way Theo blames everyone else after standing on one post and diving under the ball

I actually hope (and I never wish this on players) that both Berisha and Jeronimo get cleaned up. They rank up there with Jacob Burns, Terry McFlynn, Joel Griffiths.

Roar are looking poor. Loads of passing sideways and backwards. Offering nothing going forward.

Yeah but the referee is ruining it. Shoulder to shoulder challenge earning a yellow card? Next we'll have players getting sent off for stuff all contact.... oh wait.

Adelaide 1-0 up at ht. Roar look a shadow of their former self.

Yes, but still play the best football in the league.

Not sure you can be the "best" when there are 7 teams ahead of you, no matter what.

Adelaide will let them pass the ball sideways and backwards all day. They have the lead and it's not creating any sort of danger for them.

Wish I had put $5 on Adelaide on Friday when they were at silly odds to win.

Think Patrick did, along with a winner in all the other 4 games this round. He might get a result on the board in the betting contest.

Did not say they were the 'best', said they played the best football. Slight difference.

Passing the ball sideways and having 60% possession is pretty but if you can't create any chances with it, what's the point?

This half they have looked much better. They have started putting the ball into space, rather than passing to a static player. They are very nice to watch when they do that.

Declan Edge would tell you that they would be the best team in the league...

Adelaide win 1-0. Man of the match, Adelaide United's bus.

A well parked bus though. They're jammy bastards with their lucky goals and dodgy decisions but that gameplan is proving a lot more successful than many thought.

Play the best football, yet languish in 8th with 4 pts from 5 games.

Three for me, and two for them.

From what I saw of them in the ACL, they were playing very much the same as this. It worked very well for them there, against better teams than some of the A-League ones.

Yep. Berisha didn't get involved much in the game, wondering if he isn't fully fit.
