Watching the replay of the goal you have to wonder what the hell North was thinking when he sprinted towards the ball carrier, who was being shepherded by Franjic, and so left McG completely unmarked.

Commentator remarked that North's last club in the J League were relegated with a -60 goal difference. That bit of defending might go some way towards explaining why.

I'm not one of North's biggest fans, just in case it's not obvious!
