HT Adelaide 1 MC 1

Couple of hometown decisions for Reds (who probably deserve a bit of luck): MC goal disallowed, was clearly not offside, and how McGowan escaped a yellow card for his blatant deliberate trip of Fornaroli only the referee knows.

Thursday night game, Reds rock bottom yet 10k crowd turns up. Impressive.

Still anyone's game this.

Brilliant counterattack from Reds, the sub Ochieng buries it. 2-1 with a few minutes to go.

Picture 1 is onside for City, Picture 2 is offside for Adelaide and yet another shining example of match official incompetence.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Yep, and then we will end up with games like American Football that last 3 hours!

Also VAR isn't being used for Offsides. So the one that was incorrectly ruled offside wouldn't be reviewed, just the other one that was a goal that was offside would be reviewed. So City would still miss out on their goal, they just wouldn't also go down a goal.

my mistake. I knew that it could be used to overturn goals that were awarded that shouldn't have been, so assumed it was the other way around as well

Should be a good game tonight, hoping Rojas gets all his scoring out of the way tonight so he will be tired on Tuesday.

Holy shark, if MV are anything close to this level on Tuesday I shudder to think what they might do to us.

Pet Rat with a rocket free kick, 3-1

Raw pull one back.  This could be a blowout

Wow! But surely if you know how hard Petratos can belt the ball you'd have a bit more of a wall in place.

The quality of delivery of MV in the front third is outstanding tonight.

Refereeing again: a defender slightly nudges an attacker in the box and it's a penalty plus yellow card for the defender. At the other end an attacker clearly pushes over a defender (as occurred in the build up to Roars 2nd goal) and it's ignored. The lack of consistency blows my tiny mind.

It would absolutely would not surprise me at all after the Krishna/Keogh thing that Berisha gets that red card rescinded on appeal.

On reply it was really hard to see any clear intent - but if you are Berisha you probably get judged harshly on reputation.

Assistant ref would have had a perfect view.  Hard to say I suppose.  So perhaps I spoke too soon.  I hope it doesn't get overturned for selfish reasons.

Rojas is going to love sinking back into our yellow plastic seats when he gets subbed on Tuesday night instead of the rolls royce type seats AAMI park has.
