Roar hosting the Jets tonight. The Jets are coming off a shock win vs City but I think they might be in for a bit of a hiding tonight. Roar 3-0

Early goal for the Roar. Jets cough up a penalty but their keeper saves it, only for the rebound to go back to Maclaren to place it in the back of the net. 1-0

Mitch Cooper latches onto a cross and puts a good header past Theo, 1-1

And just like that the Jets make it 1-2 from the spot after Corey Brown dives for the ball with hands extended. I can't do justice for how bad that was from Brown.

As long as I have been watching Fornaroli is the best and most exciting player I have ever seen in the A-League. What a treat.

It's going hard to watch the game tomorrow after seeing this.

Berisha I think banged in 21 in his first season. Fornaroli is getting close to that level. I will have to go back and watch those games but it seems like Fornaroli has scored a lot of goals from nothing.

At least from what I've seen from both of them (have only really watched the last 3 seasons completely) Fornaroli has been better then Berisha. He seems to be everywhere. Is 21 the standing record for most goals scored by one person in a season?

What a wicked first half.Sums the A league up pretty well.

Tards will do well to win.

Yes, according to the quick look I had at each season in Ultimate A-League app.

Finkler had to look at the replay to check if he was the player who scored.

2:2

19 for regular season, 21 if you include finals (Golden Boot doesn't)

Its only ever a tragedy when it is against the Nix imo. This, this is just pure entertainment.

Was it the Victory fans with the flares? If they don't win then don't deduct three points for the flares (but still fine them $50k as a fine for the bitching we will hear all week). Sounds fair.

Why, exactly? Without the Vuc fans, this league would've probably died a horrible death by now.

I had big problems with WSW's firecrackers because of the sound they made - sounded like bombs. I was at the game and they scared the shark out of everyone. Flares don't scare anyone. Sure, it would be better if they weren't let off for the simple fact that it brings negative publicity to the game, but if you've ever been to a Victory game at Etihad or AAMI you will know that 1. they do add to the atmosphere and 2. most people don't mind them.

Of course, saying all that - they aren't legal and shouldn't be let off either way. Even then, though, it's only a group of 10-15 people out of 25k members or so that ever do it anyway.
