A good game to watch at the moment. End to end.

Jesus that's red. Oh lord. Frankies' summation is close to what I would describe but you have to remember, the word intent was removed a while ago now so whether he was genuinely going for the ball or not, is irrelevant.

Have had a look at this 5/6 times from different angles and I reckon he will get off.

He won't, there's no obvious error from the referee there. And it was well deserving of a red card anyway.

@ Leggy - what EG said. How can you overturn studs in the head? You just can't (not removing the fact that I think its the correct decision).  If you do that, you open yourself right up. I get that some people go 'well hey he made an honest attempt at the ball and the rest is collateral/accidental'. Again, intent is a dead word now because you can have guys get their careers destroyed by tackles that 'were going for the ball with no intent'. Thats the point of these interpretations that have moved on so much from our days is that the likes of van Basten having his career destroyed by 'honest attempt' tackles are over. What would you say if that stud to the face ripped his face open? I'm not focusing on outcomes here but the key words are 'this is fucking dangerous' regardless if he was challenging for the ball or trying to banjo him one.

You can argue a yellow card and others can too. There will be as many (maybe more, maybe less) that will say red. Is the decision that wrong? I mean stone wall dead set wrong 100%???? Nope.

He is in for a skate and if Mulvey was smart, he'd shut his hole and move on.

Yeah win our last 2 games and hope sydney and the jets lose all of theirs.

That works, right?

Hope not, don't need them gaining any points otherwise we could get the spoon. We are just not good enough to make the top 6, start again next season.

The way they are playing it is very unlikely they could beat anyone at the moment.

Perth look the more likely in the first half. 0-0

Rather rubbish game but that isn't really a surprise.

Been able to watch every team this weekend and have decided that if the grand final isn't Brisbane v Victory, it may no be worth watching. So much ugly football on show.

Agreed. This has been a strange season. So many mediocre or downright awful games with poor refereeing, defensive and goalkeeping howlers, and embarrassingly butchered open goals. Not to mention the dreadful state of many grounds over much of the season. True high quality, high excitement games have been few and far between.

Pick that one out!

2 quick goals for the Glory, wow

Well well, maybe there is at least something to play for v Sydney next week.

2-1

Never doubted the Perth lads for a moment. Sidnei made a huge difference to their attack when he came on.

Could be a tight spoon race this season.

Whoops, Berisha only gets a 1 match ban. The FFA Discipline Regulations say its 3rd direct red for the 2 match ban  and Berisha's first was a 2nd yellow red. My bad.

That makes no sense to me. A red card is a red card.

Assume both of the yellow cards from the red count toward his yellow card count for suspensions then?

You can laugh, but it was not overturned. You and the commentators are the only ones I have come across that thinks it was a poor call.

I'm not really laughing, but if you think I am the only one that thinks that, then you are truly incorrect.

"That I have come across"
Quite different to saying you are the only one

Pedantic.  English is my first language so rather than saying 'you don't know many people comment ' which would have been having a go at JV, I simply made the  comment I did. Pretty sure most got it.
