Roy Keane and Kevin Muscat. Together. Oh dear.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Clearly Marco knew about this and concluded the only way to not be cut in half and have his career ended was to join them. Smart boy.

Fuck this stupid game

That's all we need. That over the hill waste of space coming down here and polluting the A-League with his filth.

Three for me, and two for them.

Over the hill usually means over 40, he is not yet that old.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Melbourne Victory.....retirement home for football thugs!!!

I hope its not true....he would cost a fortune and there must be better coaches around than him. The guy is a fringe psycho....and thats his good days. The A-League does not need this.

Firstly, even if he cost a fortune, why would care?
Secondly, how do you know that he is not a great coach?
Thirdly, what qualification do you have to say that he is a fringe psycho?
Get a life, he would be good for the A league.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

2) How were Sunderland and Ipswich doing in the league when he was sacked.  Sure he got Sunderland promoted, but it was on the back of a sh*t load of money.
3) Being a fan of ManU, I would of thought you would have seen him play a few times.

I cannot see how this can be considered a bad thing - another high profile personality in the league and the possibility of bringing proven professional players over from the UK.  As a coach, he did well at Sunderland (unexpectedly getting them promoted) and not so well at Ipswich - a pretty good record at a far higher level than the A League.

From Marco's point of view, it will provide contacts in the UK if he is good enough to warrent the chance to go there.

If he get's the job I hope he is as successful with melbourne as he was with Ipswich.

Agree FrankyMac, I can't see how it's a bad thing. Even if he fails at Melbourne, the positive for us is that Melbourne will be sh*t. But I don't think he'll be any worse than most current/recent coaches in the A-League.

Fuck this stupid game

Spot on but at least he will make the Victory a tad more aggressive than they have been...if he can.

At least off the field they'll have the dirtiest team around. there'll be no arguing back with the coach. if Keane doesn't nut ya, Muscat will.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I don't belive that there has ever been a problem with Keane attacking people as a coach.

Look, I am not a big fan of the player or a person, but having him in the A League is great for the profile of the competition.  Just because he was a player who had some aggression in his game means nothing - he has been managing now for 3 or 4 years and his teams have been no more aggressive than any other.

OK, here's some really wild speculation...

Perhaps the Tards are holding off on announcing a new coach waiting to see what will happen here with the Nix. Should the Nix fold (please God no!) then they would swoop in an pickup a pretty good, and well respected coach in Ricki.

A very wild thought.. i know.. but, just speculative enough to be interesting...

I don't know why people are always surprised by this?  In amongst my numerous posts telling people to "f**k off, lolz" or going on about how amazing I am, I have some incredibly insightful posts.

Actually, when I read that back I understand why people are surprised.  As you were.
