Okay I'm going to jump in here.  I know Seb and his family.  Let's just keep it seemly aye.  The kid's been accused of something, he hasn't had his day in court yet, he's denying it strongly, and I will wield the banstick fast and hard if anyone gets out of order.

End of.

Not going to jump to any conclusions because I (obviously) don't know the whole story.  But if it turns out to be true then it's an absolute disgrace and he should be banned for more than four months.  Let's just hope there's been an epic misunderstanding.

Serious acusation for a young fella to face. He must be shattered. No doubt the truth will come out in the end.His friends and family will have to try hard to keep his chin up and self wellbeing on a level keel. I hope it works out for him..

Sorry, heard that at a recent cricket game

On Lyall himself....

I can't understand why we choose to punish people before they have there day in court?

Fair call Gangsta! but this being a football forum and he playing for the Bling does make him a prime target - can you imagine the grief he'd be getting if he was at an English club - he's getting off lightly here - guilty or not oppostion fans will give him arseholes about it all season

I applaud your logic and powers of persuasive argument...

To be fair, if he is found guilty (which has not happened yet...), he is surely likely to spend more than four months in prison.

Then again this could also follow the same course as that NRL item at the mo. Seems the lady concerned in that might not allegedly be as innocent a victim as first thought.

Back to this case though, some of the young women today with a bit of make up and a few alcopops cans look a lot older than their age suggests. You are right, there may be more to this than a first glance suggests. Perhaps he was actually naieve and innocent

I can see the headline: "Poor naive and innocent 18-year old footballer gets seduced by a scheming and wily 13-year old". Whatever.

Admittedly we don't know what happened, but to be shifting the blame on this on a 13-year old is farken ridiculous. Guess you don't have any daughters then...

I definitely see what Lonegunmen's saying.  Some girls look a number of years older than they really are.  Whether that's the case here I'd say probably not, but we'll see what happens.

Wow.  Massive minefield.  All I'll say is, could she (the 13 year old) have looked 16 (and therefore legal)?  Probably.

Is an 18 year old still a kid?  Definitely.

Even if he ends up guilty he'll still be a kid who made a terrible mistake and deserves the chance to move on from it and get on with his promising young life.

Amazing that the Tards have got away with this without even a mention. Surely they must have known something of it before he was offloaded to the Smurfs...

I dont see him blaming the girl with his comments!

Its true that girls 13 dress up to look a lot older and many 18 year guys are just kids themselves. I'm sure when I was that age I didnt bother to ask the chick Id picked up her age. (that dosent make it right)

We dont know all the facts so its hard to comment and judge the guy or girl. Suggest we let the courts sort it out.

Come on guys... a 13 year old doesn't pass as a 16 year old, no matter how much make-up. Crazy.

I haven't shifted the blame, I just pointed out that some young women can look a lot older than they are. No doubt the truth of the matter will eventually come out.

As for daughters, again, you are wrong. I have 4 daughters and a son.
