Ironically Perth beat Victory 2-0 at AAMI Park (the Victory's first game there) in the first couple of weeks, and thought they would be a contender this season. Wouldn't mind a repeat because Perth seem gone after that horror run...and their only win in the last 15 games came when they beat Victory 3-1 after God scored a hat-trick.

Though the Tards beat them 6-2 last year.

Sums up Perth's season really. They looked alright on attack but lacked the cutting edge as Harper alluded to. Thompson had been threatening all night but been kept at bay by scrambling defence - then a great 1-2 and he's in.

Melbourne 1-0.

Fine line between success and failure: a minute earlier Fowler's backheel narrowly fails, ball up the other end, Kruse's backheel narrowly succeeds.

Melb loss or draw is better for us but it's hard to want Perth to win.

If you're going to have a defender on the post for the corner make sure he's on the post, not standing out in no man's land.

Urawa do it better.

Three for me, and two for them.

Interesting point. I talked to a guy who was employed by North Queensland Fury to carry out a study on the pitches in the A-League, basically trying to find out if knee injuries were related in any way to the pitches themselves and how firm/soft they are. Have been meaning to track him down to see if he could email me some of the info he came up with. There are some sh*thouse pitches in the league that would probably contribute to the injury tally more than others.

Fuck this stupid game

yep, since Franjic got his stunner from one like that, he has been giving it a go most times, due for another soon

Mentally or geographically?

If the latter I'm in Indented Head. The people here are nice but jeez that genetic deformity freaks me out.

If the Roar dont grab a 2nd soon, they might be hit with a sucker punch from the Fury

It would be cool if the Fury pulled a Heart and won this 2-1.

Straka would probably explode or something.
