Saturday Night Football: Big Blue, Little Red and Perth vs Roar

Except now they have three keepers which is probably costing them just as much.

Some points on that early game.

1. Haven't Sydney become a poor mans Perth. Fouling, diving, whining. Getting quite objectionable which is a shame as their fans deserve better.  I'd call it the Farina influence but most of the cocks were cocks elsewhere.

2. A-League refs.  Yes we know they are generally a bit shit but the way the players treat them is a disgrace.  Sydneys players handled the ref at least 5 times in that match and t lest four players clearly swore at them.  If i headed the refs I'd tell them to start booking anyone and everyone until they understand that the referees deserve more respect than the crap teams like Pert and Sydney put them through.

3. Nabbout and Stella.  Neither remotely convincing.  Victory do fall away massively behind the first team and you have to have some concerns if Cernak was considered to be behind those two and Bru.

Hilarious that Ange didn't want to keep Covic at Victree. That guy is a machine.

They had 2 keepers on contract for this season. Would have taken up a bit of salary cap space to keep him.
Would have been worth it though.
The funny bit is, atm they have exactly that situation. Would think they are trying to unload one this window.

Meyer from nothing, not great keeping by Vuko.

Vukovic used to be a good keeper.

uh Brisbane 1-0, shot from a long way out, snuck in bottom corner

Am I imagining things or is Vukovic looking a bit rotund this season?

He has done some clangers this season. Keepers don't seem to do well after leaving us.

fark, knew 3/3 results going our way would be too much to ask for

Still fancy Glory to get a draw, that will help us.

 HT 1-0 to the Roar

Looks more likely to me that Roar will grab a second. I want Perth to equalise but at the same time I'm enjoying the agonised expressions and expletives of Ferguson every time they fail to score.

Apart from the accent, Grant Brebner looks to have some potential as an analyst.

Just said to her indoors his 30 seconds added more value than Bozza has all season. For giggles they should put him on the TAB odds.

He would be lucky to get away with only that. That must be miss of the season.

 Storm Roux on now.

I thought the Dodd one was worse. Eight yards out, completely free and couldn't even get it on target. Hanging offence.

If Smeltz was playing, he would have a field day today. Glory should have equalised a number of times now.

Why no Schmeltz?

Thoroughly enjoyed the Sydney Victree match. Tards were rubbish when the Otorohonga Wonder and The Florist came off. Marco spent the entire game getting hacked and was pretty much the reason for both reds, they just couldn't get near him. His game reminds me very much of a 11/12 Bertos.

Actually, it doesn't, at all.

haha just watched highlights and thought two things:

1- Boyd should feel a lot better. His was a quality pen, but Galeckovic is a freak. Another top draw save on a pen against the golden boot. Unlucky for us as a goal would have been really good for his confidence.

2. Serves Perth right for selecting Nick Ward. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us, but really!
