Ange is going to boar the brunt of this loss tonight.  They really are ham-strung by the departure of some top players.

They'll have to try to farm out a better result next week.

Who is the guy from Olympic that has taken his cow bell over?

That bell was annoying at the game tonight. About 350-400 Perth supporters in Melbourne for the game from what I could estimate.

I think they were using the bell to drown out the 'southern' crews' chants but it failed.

Good to see so many over, but geez, a bell? What are we, suppliers of Swiss chocolate or something?

6-2. Excellent work by the lino. Most would have flagged it, but he was spot on.

20,500 (approx) at Etihad as well. Wasn't a bad night, but Melbourne should have killed the game before half time.

Someone was worried that teams who get a pasting usually get up well for their next game (speaking of Perth, obviously).  Doesn't matter, they're not playing us next   Adelaide on Tues.

My eyes have nearly glazed over reading all these ham gags.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Was thinking that myself Eithad is usually top notch. Hate a lot of the Melbourne team but i want a draw.

There was a large dance party held at Etihad on New Years Eve and the pitch didn;t look top notch, 2 weeks after the event.

Once again the 'greatest fans in the league' outsung by Perth, gone quiet when they go a goal down.

All they have is "we're the North stand."

You're a hard man to please mate. All 4 sides did the NESW chant towards the end of the game.

Don't forget, you may be stooged by the placing of the ground microphones, which don't give the full effect of being there.

Hard News = Hard Man.

Simon is Sydney based don't forget. But he's an intelligent man and "know's where the party is at".

Hence his CONSTANT praise of Melbourne. Looks like Melbourne has made the rest of the league jealous of its success. I think I should rub it in on this occasion, as even Hard News is impossible to please!

I'll say it once again, Simon Hill is SYDNEY-based. Those that know the Sydney-Melbourne thing will understand that its rare for a Sydneysider to praise a Melburnian matter.

Simon's a champ HN, you've been very hard to please of late. Very HARD!

He's actually a nice bloke. I chatted to him for about 20-25 minutes outside the ground after the Australia vs Japan game in Germany in 2006.

Gentlemen of a bloke actually. We saw Andy Harper there as well that day, he was a bit stand-offish actually.

Out sung by Perth?  I really don't think so. Who's idea was it to stick the ambient mic right next to the away supporters?

Wasn't suggesting he wasn't a nice bloke, merely on his unfortunate physiocal appearance. Still, that's what playing for Rangers does to you, I s'pose.

The way his coaching is going, he'll be on that park bench soon enough, I suspect.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
