Season 12: Round 14

C'mon the draws! Hopefully results go our way this week & we wont lose touch with a top 6 spot.

We start off with City hosting Wanderers tonight. Janjetovic makes his first start for WSW & their lack of striking options means Jaushua Sotirio starts up front.

I've wanted the results to go our way from round 1!  So come on Melbourne City, Victory, Brisbane and Sydney.  Do the Nix a favour will ya?

I still shudder at the memory of Franjic doing something similar against us in the last minute to beat us 2-1.

Thoughts on the red card? Don't often agree with Slater but he's right - give the ref a reason and you've only got yourself to blame. 

Really dislike the way Fornaroli plays the game though. It's basically cheating.

Those advertisement boards that change are really distracting.  Imagine being a player on the field and that in your peripheral vision.  Prefer Wespacs static ones anyday.

All City that half but only up 1-0. Apart from Rose's effort, they really havent created many other chances to score.

I can remember Rose scoring a couple of screamers past us too! Everyone saves theirs stunners for the Nix....

The red card has kinda sucked the life out of this game. WSW are content to sit back & wait for City to make a mistake to try and pick up a point.

Butters should have at least got a shot off there, that was their chance to equalise

A result I'm not disappointed to see.  

WSW unlucky to not pick up a point, City couldn't break them down but they couldn't take the couple of chances they created

Janjetovic had a very solid debut for WSW, he might have silenced his doubters in the RBB

Andrew Houle is one of the most incredibly hot and cold players I've seen in 10 years of watching the A league. We complain about Kosta but Houle must drive Jets fans mad.

That was the hot Hoole!

Brown subbed off at half time because his wife has gone into labour with their 2nd kid.

Jets lead. Not altogether surprising either. Roar have fallen away this half.

Another of Boogaard's regular moments of madness. had been brilliant up until that awful attempted tackle in the box.

Not a good result for us if it stays this way.

Ross Aloisi losing his shark big time. Roar camp unhappy with Jets third goal, although it looks very much like a Theo howler to me.

Yeah that screws us. I've got some admiration for this Jets side. Man for man we have the better team, yet as a unit the Jets are much better than us.

As for Roar, they were mud 2nd half and can't have any complaints. Although you can bet they will.
