As good a game as it has been so far, I'll be surprised if it finishes 11 v 11. It's becoming very spicy out in the middle.

I will be surprised if no player gets a red. I hope not as it will ruin the game.

I have to say, in the "chat" beside the game on this link, I have never ever seen so much vile and racist crap being typed in my online life. I know in the past a few things got mentioned on here but that is nothing. Australians should be ashamed and embarrassed as to what a lot of their keyboard warriors type.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Typical of Australians. Just hide the feed mate.

Commentator said there were 27 (recorded) fouls in the first half! This games on the verge of an all out brawl

Fox guys are exited by intensity, just a lot of fouls, instead if playing football.

How Broxham has stayed on the pitch after 30 mins only god knows. Gillett has been pretty much the usual A League match official standard.

He did not look confident, he did not go out there positive. That was almost a Dadi pen.

Gotta give Vuka some credit, he guesses the wrong way and it gets described as a clinical penalty.

Really happy for Vuka, he has had a terrific season. With all his off field stuff happening, it hasn't distracted him one bit.

That was a terrible game of football. So many fouls and so many players lucky to still be on the pitch by the end of the game. It seemed like Victory had no real game plan with the ball other than knock long balls at Rojas. I am not a fan of the foul and reset defence tactic SFC employ and both teams came out with that mentality.

SFC are really uninspiring champions. Credit to Arnie for setting up a ruthlessly efficient winning machine but it hardly makes for entertaining football for the neutral

It wasn't one for the neutrals for sure, neither sides wanted a football match to break out last night. It was a good example of beauty being in the eye of the beholder, Sydney fans won't care how they won it.

I loved how a few fans had toilet seats in the crowd. There was 10 (?) yellow cards? Not a great advert. How there was no red cards, god only knows.

Of course Sydney fans won't care how they won it. I was just thinking that for all Sydney's dominance this year they've hardly been a memorable side the way, say, the Roar were under Ange. They don't even have the fairy tale of being underdogs who rose to the top scrapping and fighting. They're a big club who won a lot playing ugly football. Meh.

It definitely wasn't a Dadi level Pen, Rojas hesitated but hit it way better than Dadi did.

I agree with this. Hasn't helped that 2nd- 6th sides could all be described as 'so-so' sides this season, with Brisbane and Melbourne capable of very good things but both going off the boil at times as well. Lack of consistency from the other sides has made Sydney look very good but not exceptional compared to Brisbane.

Fox commentators hyping it up as the most intense grand final in history was embarrassing. It must be an Australian commentator thing to hype every event to be the greatest of all time. It's odd.

I think your under selling the force Sydney were.  There concerted pressure allowed a creative threat Ninkovic to express himself. 15 odd goals conceded. The team played with great harmony. This consummated Arnold as a great coach. Reflects well too on our ex-GM Pignata!

A fan is a fan.

I think that was a great tactical game last night. Muscat came up with great tactics to shut Sydney down and it worked well for him. It was a proper final.

Last season he played before this he was the best player in the league and he still got a fair few goals and assists this season. Maybe teams have found out how to counter him a little but he is still one of the league's best players. I can see why he wasn't a success in Europe though.
